Sample Answer

In our warehouse, I came across an old ceramic pot. The scrapper comes every last Sunday of the month, and my father was selling some scraps to him. I was assisting my dad in clearing out the unwanted items from our storage area. From there, we were removing a number of damaged and useless objects. As I was clearing, I noticed a pot that was in horrible state resting amid the garbage.

I took it to my father after picking it up. He informed me that his grandfather purchased it, to store pickles, but it is now useless. I asked to keep it with me, and he granted my request. I had to clean it a lot because it was in the worst possible state. I succeeded after giving it succeeded after giving it multiple soap and water washes. The pot was a stunning specimen of old art, with its dark tone and finely painted designs.

My father looked at it for a long time and grinned when I showed it to him. He claimed it brought back memories of his granddad. In my room, I utilized it as a flower planter. The family’s collective gasp at the exquisite conversion of a shred into a gorgeous pot was shared by all. It’s my favourite pot out of all of them, and I still have it in my room. It’s really family oriented, thus I will always keep it in my room.

CUE CARD -DESCRIBE A HOUSE OR APARTMENT YOU LIKE TO LIVE IN

Speaking -Part 2 (Cue Card) DESCRIBE A HOUSE OR APARTMENT YOU LIKE TO LIVE IN

You should say:

  • What is it like?
  • Where would it be?
  • Why would you like to live in this house/apartment?
  • How do you feel about this house/apartment?
Sample Answer

Home is where the heart is and having a own house is on the top of my bucket list. Ideally, I don’t fantasize about living in a house that is too spacious. Rather, I’d love to reside in an abode that allows me to have my peace of mind all day long.

Firstly, it will be a one-storied bungalow inspired by the design of the Victorian Era. I want my house to be on the slap bang of the city, surrounded by nature. The covered area should be 2000 sq. Ft and it would have 5 rooms with one master bedroom. Every room would have a balcony from where beautiful views of snow- covered mountains is visible. There should be enough empty space around so that I can have a perfect view of the mesmerizing surroundings.

Apart from this, I am really desiring that my house should be loaded with all sorts of mod cons. Including, a gym, a gigantic pool, a game Centre with a home theatre with recliners and a table tennis table to help me enjoy my time during my free time. At the top of it, I really desire a large L- shaped kitchen with a glass cabinet, dishwasher and a 12- seater dining table. Finally, in the open space there should be separate parking slots for the 4 wheelers.

I would love to reside in this apartment because it will be filled with all the comforts anyone could dream of. Besides, it would allow me to stay close to nature and far away from hustle and bustle of city.

How do old people spend their leisure time?Who they spend it with? How often do they do it?How do they like it?

Sample Answer

The way people spend their leisure time changes dramatically as they age. Old people mostly spend their time watching television or listening to the radio. I remember my grandfather wasn’t much interested in watching TV but he was big on the news. He used to listen to the news every night religiously, and then he would have a sort of round-table discussion over the current issues with his friends.

Another way old people get together is when they meet for a walk. They never miss a chance to catch up with their buddies while they get themselves some fresh air in the park every day. They would, actually, talk more but walk less. But it’s good, nonetheless. Old people need someone to talk to otherwise they feel all lonely and left out.

The third most common way of spending time for old people is -since most of them are grandparents- to have fun with their grandkids. In joint families, it’s mostly the grandparents who spend their time with the little children while their parents are busy at work. It is thought that since they were too busy while raising their own kids, old people now can sort of compensate it and enjoy their time frolicking with the toddlers.

IELTS Speaking latest cue card 2020. Describe an indoor game that you liked to play when you were a child? What is it? With whom did you play it?
SAMPLE ANSWER

Like other children I’ve played several games, both indoor and outdoor, and in fact, try to play whenever I get time.

Among those games, I enjoyed playing snakes and ladders more than others. It’s an indoor board game based on numbers where 2 to 4 players can play at a time. Since this game required placing the foldable board on a surface and using dice and tokens, it was convenient to play snakes and ladders almost anywhere.

I usually played it with my friends on weekends and with my cousins during my school vacation. Sometimes I played it with my father also. In f

act I would admit my father taught me to play this game. He wanted to teach me how to count and playing this game made learning exciting.

What I liked most about this game was the excitement of climbing the ladders on board as well the rolling of the dice. When the opponent players landed on a snake and had to come sliding down gave me utmost joy! When I lost the game I used to end up crying.

I still remember, my father used to lose the game deliberately so that I could win. I used to get jubilant on winning from him.

Even today, I like to play this game as it brings back fond memories of my childhood. It’s a great way to create a bonding with our loved ones and spend quality time with them.
