We have all played some game or the other during our childhood. The state of worry-free bliss and the passion that children have for their life brings pure joy to everyone’s hearts. Some children play indoor games such as chess or carom, while some children prefer outdoor games such as cricket or basketball.

I also used to play a lot of indoor and outdoor games with my friends when I was younger. I especially played a lot of basketball, and it was my favorite game. Basketball is a great game and has helped me in maintaining my health through full body exercise. We had a basketball court in our society, and all of the other children used to form two teams and play basketball for almost two hours every day. We used to have small competitions as well. Even in the game’s class in school, I spent most of my time playing basketball with my classmates. With time, I became better in the game, and my teacher and my parents supported me enough to become the school team captain.

I enjoyed myself in playing and representing my school and our team in other local championships and sports meets. This game has taught me a lot, such as leadership qualities, hand to eye coordination, team spirit, and most importantly, the value of physical fitness. I still remember those times and go to a court nearby to play basketball sometimes.

Street markets are a highly popular phenomenon in a lot of cities around the world. These not only provide a variety of products in different categories but also support the local economy as well. Some markets are set up daily, whereas a few are set up weekly or monthly. These markets are standalone events in themselves, and going to shop in them can be a quite wonderful and satisfying experience.

Actually, our locality is one of the main and busiest areas in the city and has one such market too. This market is set up each day, near the main crossroads nearby my place. It is indeed quite large and contains more than a hundred makeshift shops. This market is quite an old one and is being set up every day since the last ten years. The local government setup has helped the people here a lot and has created separate spaces for the shopkeepers. I also go there to purchase a few things every now and then. The first time I went there, I had to buy a few things for my home such as vegetables, fruits, and other routine items.

As soon as I went inside the market area, I found that it was very crowded. People were walking in all directions, hurrying to buy things. With a little difficulty, I found and purchased everything that I needed to buy, and then sat down on a bench to relax. It was a hot summer day, hence I decided to relax along with a glass of sweet lemonade and some locally made snacks. All the vendors and shopkeepers there are very nice and provide goods at reasonable prices. Although very busy, the market has a very nice atmosphere, and I find it a good experience to go there and buy things.
