ANSWER: I believe that kindness is the language of the heart and the greatest wisdom. One of the kindest persons I have met in my life is my mentor, Dr Darshana Joshi. She is the founder of the NGO named Vigyanshala International. The organisation is devoted to empowering women in science and technology. They have done significant work in promoting gender equality.

I met her during a recent workshop in Champawat, a small district in Uttarakhand. During that workshop, I had the opportunity to have a close one-on-one conversation on my career plans. I was completely stunned by her patience, tailored guidance and politeness. She strongly influenced my perspective of reaching heights and still staying grounded. The discussion with her felt calmer as she gave me a space to share my thoughts and listened carefully. Despite our first interaction, she remained very kind in helping me out and asked me to stay connected further. She possesses numerous qualities that one can admire, and for me it is the kindness she carries.

As an individual, I think she is smart with great leading abilities. She values human relations and giving back to society. She is an optimistic person with a mindset that favours growth. I believe she is a kind-hearted person because regardless of the success she has achieved in her life, she never speaks highly of herself. However, she encourages young minds to dream big and achieve their highest potential. I always appreciate her efforts and am grateful for having her in my life.

‘Health is wealth’ is a famous proverb which says that health is more precious than money. It is always good to lead a healthy life and stay active. Any physical activity does not guarantee a long life, but it definitely ensures a healthy life. A few years back, I was having some health issues due to my unhealthy lifestyle. So, I picked up yoga to stay healthy and fit. In order to remain healthy and fit, I do yoga every morning for an hour. Yoga is a perfect blend of pranayama and meditation. Therefore, it not only enhances my physical strength but also improves my mental health. It also keeps me positive and energetic throughout the day.

Although yoga originated in ancient India, nowadays, the whole world is practising it. The benefits of yoga are often misunderstood, so its benefits are only limited to the physical level. However, yoga establishes a balance between our mind, body and soul. Yoga poses strengthen our bones and muscles. Sun salutation and Kapalabhati pranayama are highly useful techniques for weight loss. Therefore, yoga controls our mind and actions, thereby offering overall fitness.

Now, yoga has become an integral part of my life. It not only controls my weight but also helps me to relieve stress and anxiety. Being a regular practitioner, I have highly benefited from this physical exercise. It has improved my immunity and provided inner peace as well. I have not only become healthy but have also become calm and composed. Due to yoga and meditation I remain happy and peaceful. As a result, I am able to maintain healthy relations with everyone around me.
