Describe a song you like.

You should say:

When did you first hear it?
What kind of song is it? What is the song about?

And explain why you like it?

Answer – One song that I really enjoy listening to is 7 Years by Lukas Graham. I first heard this song in 2016 when it was extremely popular. At that time, many people were sharing it on social media, and one of my friends recommended it to me.

It is a pop song, and it is known for its meaningful lyrics and emotional storytelling. Unlike many modern songs that focus mainly on catchy beats, this song tells a personal story and leaves a lasting impression on the listener.

It is about the different stages of life and how quickly time passes. The singer reflects on his childhood, teenage years, and adulthood, and even imagines his life when he becomes old.

I particularly love its memorable lyrics. For example, the line, “Once I was seven years old, my mama told me,” instantly creates a sense of nostalgia and takes the listener back to childhood. It reminds me of the advice and values that parents pass on to their children. Another phrase that really stands out to me is, “Soon I’ll be sixty years old.” Throughout the song, he talks about his dreams, relationships, family, and the advice given to him by his parents. One of the main messages of the song is that life moves very fast, so people should cherish their loved ones and make the most of their time.

Whenever I hear these lines, I reflect on my own life, future goals, and the importance of making meaningful memories with family and friends. I think these lyrics are one of the main reasons why the song feels so emotional and relatable to people of all ages. Another reason I admire this song is its realistic message. Even though it is based on the singer’s personal experiences, many of the feelings and concerns mentioned in the song are universal.

I will be talking about my teacher, Mr Sahay. He used to be my tuition teacher (8th year) for mathematics and science.

He was an elderly man in his late 60s, a retired engineer who had spent most of his life in South Africa. He was a true gentleman, well-mannered and highly educated, who was full of both bookish knowledge and knowledge gained firsthand from personal experiences. Apart from helping me with solving maths and science problems. He helped me with life skills, exposed me to Sydney Sheldon, Dean Koontz, Agatha Christie and how to be chivalrous.

He used to be really good with the taught subjects. His classes were quite interactive and fun-filled. He always had a practical approach towards everything in life. I believe he was the most popular human being and a teacher. I sometimes wish I could meet him again and be his student.
