ANSWER – India is a very diverse country exhibiting varying cultures, traditions and languages across the different states. This diversity makes India unique in its own ways. However, if I had to talk about one of the most interesting parts of India, it would definitely be my own state, Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand lies in the northern part of the country surrounded by the Himalayan mountains. This state is also popularly named as the “Land of the Gods” due to its deep roots in spirituality. The state offers numerous pilgrimage sites, including holy temples such as Kedarnath and Badrinath and rivers such as the Ganges and Yamuna. These holy places are of great importance to millions of Indians.

Uttarakhand also attracts many tourists due to its pleasant environment and natural beauty. The best part is that visitors can enjoy scenic views and experience great adventures simultaneously. The Valley of Flowers is one such site to live and feel the serenity of unique flowers right in the middle of mountains. Also, one can even enjoy the thrill of native wildlife at some of the famous wildlife parks such as Jim Corbett and Rajaji National Park. Furthermore, Uttarakhand preserves many natural waterfalls. One of my favourite waterfalls is the Tiger Falls. Visiting these places can be a mesmerising experience for all.

Moreover, the state offers well-planned cities equipped with malls, cafes and food courts, letting people try new cuisines from across the world and adore the luxury of foreign brands. Not only this, but Uttarakhand also has many renowned boarding schools and universities. In addition, there are hill stations such as Mussoorie and Nainital, which are popular summer destinations.

Owing to these reasons, I am certain that Uttarakhand is one of the most intriguing parts of my nation. As it offers not only beauty, spirituality, and adventure but also is a great place for learning.

Sample Answer

Friends and family are highly important relationships that stand by you in your time of need. Man is a social entity and always forms ‘give and take’ relations, where they take help and help those in need every time. I have a lot of good friends and caring, supportive family members as well. We all stand by each other’s side during tough times. One such incident is worth mention, and it is about my cousin brother. It happened when I had just completed my degree and joined my first job. I liked my job very much even though it was a very hectic one.

I had a load of assignments I needed to complete, which often required me to work after hours from my home. This posed an issue as I did not own a computer then. One day, I was on an outing with my cousin, who was very fond of me and adored me. Being the elder brother, he taught me a lot through real-life examples of life and its problems with the utmost compassion. I told him of this issue during our discussion, in hopes that he would help me out with his advice there as well. To my surprise, he took me to his place and gave me his personal laptop computer. He basically lent it to me and told me to return it only after I had purchased one of my own.

I was humbled and thankful to him for this huge help, as well as worrying about hampering his work. He assured me that he had an official laptop as well, and it was sufficient for his work. I thanked him a lot and used the laptop for the next three months. After saving from my salary, I purchased a new laptop for my own use and returned my cousin his laptop. I still keep that incident as a cherished memory and thank him for his graciousness.
