Sample answer:

Lectures are one of the best ways in modern days to transfer knowledge to people. Many professors and teachers give lectures in different fields to empower people with education. I have also attended many such lectures.

One such memorable occasion was when I attended a lecture that was delivered in our school auditorium. It took place when I was in the twelfth standard, right after my half-yearly exams in September. I was notified about it a week ago and on the day of the lecture, we assembled in the auditorium. The lecture was from a teacher which was a part of a career counseling team that specializes in providing expert advice to students regarding career issues. The faculty, Mr. Amitabh, came on the stage promptly and went to the podium in order to greet all the attendees. His lecture was vastly detailed and covered topics such as career possibilities, options for higher studies, social stigmas and pressure a student might face, and intellectual development ideas.

Firstly, he started with informing us about various career opportunities and the path to follow to achieve success. Moving on to the social stigmas, he then spoke at length about how to come over such issues and be resolute about the decisions we make. A quite innovative lecture, it covered a lot of ideas through audio-visual mediums as well and was very informative. I got highly impressed by the lecture and took home a better understanding of the decisions I had to take for my career. It was a learning experience and answered all my doubts regarding my future.

Sample Answer

There are a lot of people that we know or meet in our daily lives. Each and every one of us has different personalities and perceptions about life. While some people are introvert and do not like to indulge in conversation, some are extroverts who like to make their thoughts known through speaking them out.

I have met all such kinds of people, yet one of them stands out in my memory. A friend of mine, Paul, is a person who is very loquacious and has a dynamic personality to match this character trait as well. He is a trainer by profession and is quite elder to me. We are fast friends since my school days, and I like his company a lot. He was a public speaker in the school and practiced his communication skills by taking part in debate competitions. I have a habit of spending hours on end with him, listening to whatever he has to say. This is because he observes small details and has garnered a lot of experience since childhood that has taught him a lot. He likes to share such incidences and his thoughts on them with me, as I am a patient listener. I have learned a lot from whatever he has to say, and whenever I am in any doubt, I go to him and ask for advice.

Moreover, he shares his ideas and other thoughts with me as well, and I get to understand and build perspectives about a lot of new things. I really admire him due to this habit of his and believe that my time spent with him is quality time, as I get to learn a lot from him.

handmade-craft Best IELTS Band 7 coaching in dehradun

Sample Answer

Art and craft are highly engaging and entertaining activities, and many people work on different arts and crafts during their leisure time. I also like doing art and craftwork such as pottery, origami, and painting. I am more involved with craft work, especially with toys and trinkets, and I have made a lot of small toys for toddlers.

I have a young friend in my neighborhood who plays cricket with me. While we were speaking one day, he told me about his fondness for cars. He also told me that almost all of his toys were cars, and he played a lot with them as well. At that moment, an idea struck me. I came back to my home and quickly took out a small battery operated motor that was lying around unused. My idea was to use that motor to make a homemade toy car and gift it to him. I went around the house in search of materials such as cardboard, nuts, bolts, bottle caps, wires, and batteries. After collecting all the items, I assembled the car and worked on it until I was satisfied with the result.

It took me two days to complete the toy car, fortunately in time for his birthday on the weekend. Thinking that it would be a sensible gift, I had painted it and gift wrapped it as well. On his birthday, I gave him the car as a gift, and he liked it a lot. He said that the gift meant a lot to him. Due to this, I felt elated and proud of my skill and my idea.

Sample answer

Leisure activities are interesting pursuits that we all do during our time off from work or studies. There is a variety of such activities ranging from reading to arts and crafts that one may take up as a hobby or an extracurricular activity. I have had many personal favorites over the years, but my most favorite leisure activity is driving. I really like to drive my car whenever I have some time to myself. I have done a lot of solo driving trips to many different places. While some are near to my place, some are far away as well.

Driving cars is a passion for me, and I learned driving as soon as I turned 18. Since then I have spent a huge part of my relaxing time behind the wheel. I really enjoy the feeling of being on the open roads, maneuvering a huge machine while listening to my favorite songs. It is a very beneficial activity as it allows me to explore and travel to new places in a comfortable and safe manner. I have spent many weekends camping out in remote villages and dense forests, learning new things and meeting different kinds of people. The best part about driving as per me is the thrill of the empowering feeling that driving a car gives me.

I purchased my own car last year and now spend my weekends going to new places and driving the car around with friends or alone. It has almost become a routine activity and I am very fond of it.
