My perfect holiday would most likely be in a snow decked winter
landscape. Somewhere cold, sunny and high up view to behold.

I would go with my sister, she too adores the fresh mountain
air. And I am sure my cousins would love to tag along, together we would be a
really rowdy bunch. We would go skiing, sledging and ice skating. I can just
imagine their faces when they slip up on the ice, me laughing with them.

We would go to the Christmas Carnival and have delicious hot
chocolate while joking about how are feet are going to freeze off. Baking
cookies and watching some movies when it gets too cold out, all huddled up
together. Making blanket forts after long days of snowball fights and building
snowmen are some other things I imagine we
would do.

It would be perfect, because we would all be together, having
the time of our lives as a family. There is nothing more I could ask for.

Holidays have been an important part of my life. Not only do I like giving it to others, I enjoy them for myself as well. They could be either group trips or solo trips. But, my perfect holiday would be on an all India tour all by myself. It has been my dream for a very long time to be able to travel across India and write down the stories of the country. Of meeting new people and getting to know their stories.

I would start off from my base location and move ahead towards the east. Traveling across all the east, and moving towards north, west and then south. It will be all an all travel to the different cities, the major festivals, major temples, and more importantly the common people of the place. I want to meet all those people and then interview them. Get to know their stories and write about it.

If I am able to do this holiday, it would be the best thing to happen to me. Not because, it will be a big one, but because it would be for me a dream come true. Knowing my country, and getting to know its past, present, and future is what makes this holiday perfect for me.

School days have been the best days of my life and no matter what I believe we all have memories attached to them. They do bring nostalgic moments in us. I studied in a convent school and there were many rules but the one that I did not like was if someone had not the proper dress, they would be sent out of the assembly and delayed for the first lecture. Our school had prefects and their job was to make sure that we all were in our proper dresses. Even a tint of error and we would be thrown out. Being an average person, I never had those perfect shoes or dress and so most of the times I would be out.

I remember once it became so frequent that people accepted it as my nature. The reason I did not like this rule was that, at some point in my life, I had an inferiority complex because of this. Children would make fun of me because of this and we would fight. Because of missing the first lecture, I did miss out on some very important things that were taught and it did impact my studies.

Most of the people in my school had no issues with this rule. Probably, because they always did wore the right dresses and shoes. But, there were few like me, who used to be out because of our neatness. I remember making friends all the way during this time. We would laugh and giggle sometimes. But initially, it was quite rough for all of us and I believe there could have been a better way of teaching us the importance of maintaining a dress code.

SAMPLE ANSWER-

Internet is an essential part for survival in the present day world. It has been a life-saver for me numerous times but here I can recall a time when the internet helped me handle a bad situation. I have the habit of keeping all the important information in my phone instead of my laptop. Last week, when I was busy studying for my exam, all of a sudden my phone’s screen froze due to which I wasn’t able to make any call or check my notes.

I panicked as it was quite late at night and I couldn’t head to the market to get some professional help. My phone included all important recorded lectures and notes. I lost hope and had pessimistic thoughts in my mind regarding my exam. I started searching for a temporary solution to fix my IPhone. There were some solutions available on sites and I followed the steps in order to try my luck.

I followed the instructions given and connected my phone to the computer. It asked for a software update and thought of trying it as I didn’t had any other option since all my important information including my admit card was in my phone. It nearly took two hours to complete the update and reboot my IPhone.

Luckily, the phone restated and I felt a sign of relief at that hour. Though we keep on criticizing the internet and technology on daily basis but during that moment I couldn’t help being thankful to it enough.

SAMPLE ANSWER-

Trust is considered to be an important tool in one’s friendship which takes time and diligence to rebuild if lost. Here, I’d like to talk about a time when I tried to conceal a secret from a friend which had a bad effect on our friendship. The scenario happened quite a while ago when we were in University. It was during our results when I tried to keep my best friend’s poor grades confidential as she was enjoying her cousin’s wedding at that time.

As far as I remember, most of my friends were worried about their performance in the exams but my best friend had a different level of excitement since it was her relative’s wedding within two days. Though she was equally nervous about the results, she didn’t let her fear come between her happiness. When the result was declared, all of my friends cleared the exams with flying colors but unfortunately, my best friend result was not up to the expectations.

I decided not to inform her about the result on a call as it might affect her joyful state of mind of the wedding ceremonies. But unluckily, she got this bitter news from one of our classmates. She was deeply affected by it as those results were going to have a major impact on our placements.

Initially, this situation jeopardized our friendship and people tried to create misunderstandings between us. But after a couple of days, she considered my point of view and tried to look at it from my position. We later on, apologized and promised to never hide truth from each other, no matter how bitter it would be.
