Friendship is a beautiful relation that touches everyone’s lives in a different way. I too have had many amazing people as my friends, especially during my childhood. I can recall many such friends who were very close to me, but the closest one was Smith.

He was my best friend for a better part of my childhood. I met him when I was 6 years old. He lived in the neighborhood just two houses away from ours. I met him on the first day in the society garden. I was roaming about aimlessly when he appeared and asked me if I live here. We started talking and discovered a lot of common things to talk about. Soon became the best buddies for almost 7 years until his family moved to another state. We had a lot of matching thoughts and hobbies. We both liked playing video games, collecting comic books, watching cartoons, reading stories, amongst other activities. We used to go to school and many other outings together. We also played and studied together at both our homes.

Our goals in the future were also the same as we both wanted to become teachers when we grew up. We even had a similar taste in food and dressing ideas. This friendship was important to me to such an extent that I considered him as my sibling more than a friend. He was the only neighboring kid who I spent the maximum amount of my time with. The best part is all the memories that we created together and the fact that I still cherish them in my heart.

Life is full of competitions and challenges. At each step in our life, we face a new kind of contests, which teach us a lot. I have taken part in a lot of them as well. I have performed well in some of them while being average in others. Competitions such as debates, painting meets, athletic championships have surely piqued my interest since childhood, but writing competitions are something I am very fond of, and always ready to participate in.

One such writing event also takes place during a bi-annual literature festival held in our city. It is a very grand affair, with people from all over the city and nearby towns in attendance. Many established writers also take part in it, making it harder. I want to partake in this competition as it will be a tough challenge, and a rewarding experience in terms of learning as well as the prize.

The event is judged by a panel consisting of esteemed novel and fiction writers from all over the country. It is about writing a story based on a topic that is of a certain social importance, such as any current issue or propaganda. The factors that are judged include vocabulary, grammar, flow, direction, and how well the story can move or touch human emotions.

I really believe that I can pen down such a piece of fiction that could touch the hearts of the reader and form an emotional connection with them as well. Since writing is my passion, I really want to join this contest and reach new levels of understanding with such an affair.

Life in the modern era has become very busy and people often find it difficult to focus and keep up with their responsibilities. In such times, concentration has become a highly important factor for success. Sometimes in life, I also find it very difficult to concentrate on my work and studies. Thankfully, there are activities like memory games, walking, or reading that we can do to rebuild our focus on our daily tasks. People have different ways to do so, and I find music to be the most effective way to concentrate on my tasks.

Music offers a melodious continuity that can help the mind to be relaxed and channelize the thoughts to be focused on the task at hand. I listen to instrumental music tracks that are devoid of lyrics. The beats steer me away from other noises and keep the distractions at bay. I feel calm, relaxed and energized to do whatever work I am supposed to. It occupies my mind and does not let my thoughts wander away while I study or work. I find it beneficial as it helps me maximize my productivity by increasing the speed with which I work and eliminating the need for frequent breaks in between.

Music has proven to be very beneficial for me in a lot of ways. It has helped me by clearing mental stress. It has a rejuvenating and soothing effect that keeps me energetic and positive throughout my day. I have come to believe through experience that music is the best way for me to build and maintain my concentration.

I use the internet as well, and there are various sites that I frequently visit. One of these is Quora.com. It is a social forum based on a knowledge sharing platform.

Also termed as a database of intellectuals, this forum is a place for asking and answering questions. People from all over the world come and discuss a variety of topics and get knowledge from experts on different things. One can also get to discover other people’s views on a certain agenda or an idea through this website.

I use Quora and browse through it several times a day. It has a feed that gets constantly updated with new questions that I like reading through to update my knowledge. I also ask questions that I want answers for. These queries can be about an abstract thought or something relating to a school or college project.

Quora is a highly advantageous webpage that has benefited me a lot in the past few years. It is a sort of a database that I can turn to, for clearing my doubts. A place where I can learn new things in a fun and interactive manner. It has helped me grow intellectually apart from helping me develop new skill sets. Overall, this is a very interesting, useful, and popular website.
