Sample answer

Leisure activities are interesting pursuits that we all do during our time off from work or studies. There is a variety of such activities ranging from reading to arts and crafts that one may take up as a hobby or an extracurricular activity. I have had many personal favorites over the years, but my most favorite leisure activity is driving. I really like to drive my car whenever I have some time to myself. I have done a lot of solo driving trips to many different places. While some are near to my place, some are far away as well.

Driving cars is a passion for me, and I learned driving as soon as I turned 18. Since then I have spent a huge part of my relaxing time behind the wheel. I really enjoy the feeling of being on the open roads, maneuvering a huge machine while listening to my favorite songs. It is a very beneficial activity as it allows me to explore and travel to new places in a comfortable and safe manner. I have spent many weekends camping out in remote villages and dense forests, learning new things and meeting different kinds of people. The best part about driving as per me is the thrill of the empowering feeling that driving a car gives me.

I purchased my own car last year and now spend my weekends going to new places and driving the car around with friends or alone. It has almost become a routine activity and I am very fond of it.

Sample Answer

The modern times have given us the gift of cutting edge technology, and equipment for every task along with. We are surrounded by a plethora of electronics and machinery around us. I also use a lot of these in my routine life such as mobiles, laptops, computers, televisions, microwaves, and many more.

During my time with these pieces of machinery, I have come across a lot of faulty or damaged equipment. One such time was when I had to install a pre-owned television set that I had purchased for my home. It was in an acceptable condition, and I set it up on the table in my room. I then plugged it into the power outlet and switched it on after connecting all the cables. The cable network reception was strong but I was not satisfied with the video quality and the audio was not working as well. I worked with the settings but to no avail. I removed the plug and opened up the case to see the machine parts and locate the fault. After looking a lot and being unsuccessful in my attempt, I took it to the nearby repair shop and got it fixed. Being satisfied with the results, I brought it back to my home and then proceeded with its installation. After a few minutes, the set up was complete and I started to stream through the channels with satisfaction.

All in all, it was a hectic and tiring process, because the television had a few issues with both its hardware and software which gave me a lot of problems. The end was satisfactory as I got it repaired from the shop after being unable to fix it myself.

Sample answer

I like watching different sports and playing them as well. Sports, aside from being a healthy exercise, are also quality leisure activities. I have played many different sports such as table tennis, cricket, basketball, and football. Apart from playing them, I also enjoy watching them on television. One such sport that I have watched is badminton, and I find it very enticing. I really wish to try playing it myself as it seems to be a very enjoyable game.

It is played between two people on a rectangular court with rackets and a shuttle. I want to try it as it seems to be an easy sport with very few requirements. I have noticed other players moving and have come to believe that it is a good exercise for the body. It includes jumping, flexing hands and legs in rapid motions, and deep breathing. It is a light and simple sport that can be played anywhere and anytime. I would not find any trouble incorporating it into my daily schedule along with the limited list of equipment that would be comparatively cheap to purchase. It is a very relaxed game and requires only practice and no professional training as well.

I will start playing it soon with my friends and cousins after I buy the shuttle and the rackets, as nothing else would be required in terms of equipment. All in all, it seems to be a good sport to play with a lot of benefits.

Life as we know it is full of ups and downs. There are times when one faces tough situations and others when some good things happen as well. My life has also been full of such experiences, wherein I get to experience deep emotions such as elation, despair or, contempt. Very recently, an incident changed my life and brought loads of happiness with it. Last week, my mother announced that the family of a prospective groom had been in touch with her, and was coming to our home to meet my sister and to get to know our family as well. It was wonderful news and I was very happy for my family, apart from being nervous.

I shoved all my worries aside and started preparing for the weekend. Firstly, I sat down with my mother and aunt, and prepared a menu for the evening tea and snack, as per there preference. Since we only had a day to prepare, we were doing everything very quickly, I then started buying the grocery and other items required. Later, we all started to clean and decorate the house to make it presentable.

The day arrived and all of us were highly excited to host the family. When they came, we greeted them and had a delightful evening. The time was auspicious and our joy knew no bounds when they finalized the relation by gifting my mother boxes of sweets. It was a very emotional moment for me, and I bade them farewell with joy in my eyes.
