Complaint Against Services # Letter For IELTS

You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
-give details of what went wrong
-explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
-say what action you would like the manager to take

You should write at least 150 words.


Dear Sir/Madam,
The reason I am writing to you is the poor quality of services provided to me during my last visit at your hotel. The services provided were excellent for the first few hours after I checked in but the issues started popping up when I started staying.
The first issue that I noticed was that the heating system of the hotel was not working. While making my bookings I was assured that I need not bring along any blankets as there is a heating system and I will not face any issues. However, when I inquired to the staff about it they plainly told me that it is not working and I must make my own arrangements regarding it. When I tried to contact you by phone, no one would give me any sensible answer.

The next major issue was of water. You can imagine how frustrated and puzzled I was when I was informed that there is no hot water available and I need to take a bath with cold water only. I was thankful that there were geysers available in public bathrooms or else I had to suffer. Adding insult to my injury, they even asked me to leave a day before my planned check out day.

I am very disapointed with the service I have received. Therefore I expect refund as soon as possible.
