India is a highly diverse country with many geographical features, and corresponding climate conditions. We enjoy four main seasons here namely summer, autumn, winter, and spring. These have different intensities all over the country. I have lived in various parts of the country and experienced all the seasons in these places. I now live in the northern region and my city is nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas.

While the summers here are very short, winters can be very harsh and cold. Coming to my favorite season, it is the winter season. It lasts from November to February, and the weather is very soothing, pleasing, and dry, unlike the boiling heat of the summers. I love it due to various reasons. This season brings along with it many seasonal fruits and vegetables that I like to eat. Mostly, my choice of clothes includes long overcoats, trench coats, and woolens, which are worn during this season. There is a lot you can do to enjoy this time of the year. I love playing in the snow and taking long walks on cold winter evenings.

I love riding or driving out in the mountains to distant cold places during this season as well. The cold is very soothing and makes me feel comfortable, unlike the summers which make me sweat a lot. I like sitting outdoors with a bonfire and a cup of hot tea or coffee to read or write, which is my favorite activity, and one of the reasons why I look forward to this season of the year.

Sample answer:

Every one of us has some dreams in our lives regarding materialistic things. We always keep on adding something or the other to our wish list. Sometimes we are limited by financial issues and have to wait to acquire them. I have always had different things that have been added to my wish list. One of those things is a solar panel setup for my home, which can power up the lights and heat the water supply.

It is a very good set up that is not only highly cost-effective but also environment-friendly. I went to a nearby shop to inquire about the details about the cost and the setup. I was told that it would cost me one hundred thousand Indian rupees to get the set up installed on the roof of my house.

Actually, I cannot afford this much amount right now as I have spent all my savings to buy a car two months ago. Due to this reason, I would have to wait for some time and save more money to buy the solar panel setup.

However, there is another way that I can choose to acquire it. I can purchase it on a minimal down payment and get a loan that I can pay off in monthly instalments later. But I would most preferably avoid this choice due to the fact that it would become a tiresome responsibility to set apart the instalment amount every month. Not to mention the extra amount that I would have to spend upon the loan interest. Hence, I have decided to wait for some time and purchase it at a later point.

I live in India, a highly diverse country in terms of people, cultures, ethnicities, weather, and landscapes. India is a highly unique country in itself, due to the presence of such a huge variety of biodiversity and the human population. Every part of the country has different people with different ideologies, ways of living, dressing, food habits, cuisines, etc.

One such part of our country is Punjab, which also happens to be my native state. I find it the most interesting due to the people that live there. The native people here, also known as Punjabis, are very intriguing in terms of their lifestyles. Not only are they known for their extravagant lifestyles and loud behavior, but are also some of the kindest and jolly natured people around. They gel in well with other people, including strangers, and are good at holding light-hearted conversations. People there believe in the philosophy of “simple living, and high thinking”.  They are very helping in nature, and are ready to help someone in need at all times.

Basically known for its flourishing farming lands, Punjab has a rich cultural heritage that is not only reflected through the people but also through their architecture and the handicraft. Various cities in Punjab are known for innovative designs in terms of clothing, accessories, jewelry, and decoration items. There is a lot to see and feel in Punjab and even one small visit can give you beautiful lasting experiences. To sum it up, I would say that Punjab is a unique part of the country and adds to the overall beauty of the country in its own distinct ways.

There are a lot of places one can visit all over the world with many sights and attractions to offer, along with different features. Many landmarks have breathtaking beach views and much more. Personally, I prefer to visit locations near water. If a place has any kind of a water body, such as a lake, a pond, or a river, I would enjoy visiting the place and spending time over there.

Well, after visiting many beaches, riverfronts, lakes, and ponds all over India I got a chance to drive up to a lake in the Himalayan Mountains. I went there with three of my colleagues who are my good friends as well. We went there during last winters, in the month of November. About the lake, it is very famous and is named Deoria Taal. Situated in a densely forested area along with variegated wildlife, it is very quaint. We drove to the nearby village and trekked up the rest of the way to reach the lake. It was a huge water body with very clean water. There was a grassy area towards three sides of it and dense trees on one. The water was stagnant and beautifully reflected the high snow-capped mountain peaks in the distance.

We went there not only to visit but to experience the beauty of that place and draw some calmness from that deep water body. It was an enchanting sight with pleasing views all around. We decided to camp out on the grass for two days and then set up the camps. I loved the peace in the surroundings, the calmness that shrouded everything, and the feeling as if the time had stopped. This experience that Deoria Taal has given me would always be cherished.
