An ideal introduction should have only 3 to 4 sentences. Many students make mistake in the introduction and they start discussing about the whole idea of essay in the introduction part. In this paragraph, we generally try to give the introduction of the topic and our inputs about the topic that we will be discussing in the body paragraph. You can follow the below steps for writing an introduction.

1st Statement: A general statement about the question

2nd Statement: Rewrite the question in your own language.

IELTS writing task-2 essay # Many museums charge for admission while others are free.

IELTS writing task-2 essay

Many museums charge for admission while others are free.

Do you think the advantages of charging people for admission to museums outweigh the disadvantages?

Sample Answer

Museums are a great source of knowledge in societies. Many museums charge a hefty amount as an entrance fee, however others do not. There are some individuals who argue that entry of these educational institutes should be free of cost to serve the society better. I believe that charging a nominal amount as an entrance fee can be beneficial in many ways.

Undeniably, charging a hefty amount on visitors has some negative effects. Firstly, it deprives people of lack in opportunity to access most of the vital information about history, art and science. Secondly, paying an entrance fee can be the major factor to affect the popularity of a museum over others, despite having many artifacts. Many citizens will start flinching from visiting these institutions due to the entrance charges. This may eventually put the existence of museums on stake.

Despite having a few drawbacks, entrance charges can be beneficial in many ways. Most prominently, museums authorities can use the entrance fee amount for many purposes. For instance, time-to-time renovation cost, electricity charges, safety and security cost to operate these institutions properly. Moreover, this has been noticed in the past that many times the governments fail to meet the requirement of these institutions. However by charging an entrance fee, museums can have their own revenue to keep the place clean and attractive to get more visitors.

To conclude, charging entrance fee for museums can attract negative remarks from some people. I think posing a nominal amount on visitors can be beneficial in many ways for museums.

Reasons

  • Loss of architecture and ecological balance, damage to wildlife.
  • Cultural differences sometimes create problems among local people and tourists.

Solutions

  • Provides employment.
  • Generates foreign revenue, boosts Economy.
  • Helps in improvement in infrastructure of the country.

Sample Answer
A group of individuals consider foreign tourism has more negative effects in a society rather than positive impacts. Certainly, there are several reasons behind developing negative attitude towards international tourism. However, by taking some steps, views of people can be changed.

The opponents of international tourism may argue that tourists cause pollution and can damage the environment. Tourists’ destinations are more polluted in comparison to other areas in a country. Foreign visitors often get criticised due to their irresponsible behaviour towards a host country. Many times tourists get caught throwing litter here and there. This excess of littering disturbs local residents. Furthermore, tourists do not always respect beliefs and customs of different culture. Foreign travelers may hurt the feelings of local people due to poor understanding of others’ beliefs. What is more, sometimes youngsters get influenced by tourists. The country may lose its own values and sense of identity.

Nevertheless, with the help of government this situation can be tackled. First of all, the government should explain the benefits of international tourism which helps in boosting the foreign revenue of any country. During their stay, travelers spend a hefty amount on accommodation, transportation, meals and many other facilities. This way local people earn a good amount. International tourism not only provides monetary support but also generates employment in a society. By having negative attitude towards foreign tourists, is a loss of people only. Moreover, the government can provide the guidelines to tourists just after their arrival in any country. . The government should have proper advertisements and banners for spreading important knowledge. There should be a list of rules and regulations can be given to them so that activities by tourists can be performed accordingly

To conclude, there is no doubt that tourism is a back bone of any economy at this point of time. However, with the involvement of the government people’s negative attitudes can be changed towards the foreign travellers. Simultaneously, the government can raise the awareness among tourists also to protect the local habitat.

IELTS WRITING TASK-2 ESSAY: Privatization of health care centers.

IELTS Writing Task-2 Essay

Privatization of health care centers.

Some argue that good health is the basic human need, so medical service should not be run by profit-making companies. Do you think the disadvantages of the private health care outweigh the advantages?

Sample Answer

Healthy people make a healthy society. Both government and private sector are responsible for providing health care facilities. Although many people argue that medical facilities should be given to private companies to handle, I am not in favor that the drawbacks of privatization of medical departments outrank the benefits.

To begin with, the opponents of private hospitals may argue that these are money oriented organisations and their main motive is to earn money by all means. Certainly, health should not be taken care by those people whose main motive is financial gain only. Secondly, these days modern private hospitals are not less than any four or five star hotels. They cater all the luxurious needs of well-off patients. These expensive hospitals and their high class treatments are meant for the rich only. Moreover, private health centers charge a hefty amount that cannot be borne by poor easily.

On the other side, all the governments have to rely on private sector in all major domains such as education, banking and healthcare etc. Considering the increasing number of people who need medical care, privatization of medical sector has become a social demand. First and foremost, private hospitals are providing services almost everywhere. This has been a boon to many people who live in remote areas. Private hospitals have emerged as a life saver for many valuable lives. Another reason is the treatment in private healthcare facilities is quicker than the public hospitals. Furthermore, it has also been seen that the hospitals run by the government lack many facilities. In comparison, private units are fully equipped and efficient service is ensured.

To sum up, privatization of health care is necessary for the betterment of society. However, the government should implement some strict rules and regulations to control the unnecessary demands of private hospitals.
