IELTS Essay # Exploitation Of Children

You should spend 40 minutes on this task.
Children are being exploited all over the world, for beggary, found in harmful factories and in unhealthy situations.
Discuss.
Write at least 250 words.

The world has progressed in the past few decades but there are certain aspects we still lag behind. One of them is child labour and has been an international concern for a very long time. It damages, destroys and spoils the future of children. However, the number has yet not declined to be ignored. Children are not only found in factories, trafficked, and forced to beggary but often deprived of the basic requirements.

Child exploitation is a major issue in the developing and under developed part of the world. With the countries facing acute poverty, the families are forced to send their children for work in hope of more money. Even more, with the increased crime rate children are easily kidnapped, trafficked and often forced into beggary. In some cases, they are first ill-treated, like their body parts are damaged ensuring they look like beggars. These children not only have to suffer from ill treatment but also the loss of a lovely family.

 Exploitation Of Children

In case of girls, it has been observed, that they are kidnapped and forced into prostitution, damaging their minds forever. Some are married off by the family members for dowry and in other cases, made sex slaves by their own family members.

Even more, children are being forced into work in factories, like, cracker factory, chemical factory, which are dangerous for their health giving them serious health issues for entire lives. Often a child who has been forced into labor, molds the personality of the individual, making them lose faith in society and good things. As a result, children often end up taking drastic steps like murder, robbery etc. when they grow up.

Overall, child labour is a serious concern and should be dealt with an urgency to make sure that there are no more children who are forced into labor work. It could mean bringing up more schools or making sure that there are jobs for parents or declining crime rates. (325 Words)

IELTS Essay Sample Answer # Travel Choices

You should spend 40 minutes on this task.
Some people love to travel abroad while others find it better to first visit their own country before travelling abroad. Discuss Both Views. You should write at least 250 words.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Over the past few decades, the international tourism industry has seen a boom period. From cheap air travel, to the rise of the middle class, more and more people are now travelling. Although, there are  people who believe that it is always good to visit the nearby abroad countries, there are many who love to take on the domestic travel before any international travel. In my opinion, it is a great idea to visit international places but one must prefer to have a good knowledge about the local area, before hand.

To begin with, people’s knowledge about their own country and its brands and products has become very sketchy with the increased globalization. For instance, people in India are likely to know more about American television series than the 18th century Indian struggle. It should, therefore, be clear that citizens need to know much more about their own countries and visit their own culture before visiting the other countries. India has versatile culture and incredible locations. India has approximate 35 UNESCO heritage sites and widely visit by tourist.

Secondly, people reap high economic benefits if they are well traveled in their country of birth. This is because they are very much aware of travelling and now their country well. This not only provides them better business opportunities but helps them when they go for the foreign travels. Exploring other countries is in trend and International tourist count increasing year by year.

In conclusion, although few argue outright against foreign travel, there are surely reasons for domestic travel to be preferred.

Education teaches to excel in life, not just the subjects, but teaches how to deal with life. And foreign education is surely a golden chance for an ideal student. It instills in a child the ability to take decisions, stand by them and be more independent. Although, there are several benefits of studying abroad, some issues exist as well.

In the internationally reputed institutes a student gets a chance to learn under the masters of the particular field. In addition, living away from home teaches the child good communication skills, manners and useful lessons for life. There comes in a spirit of Universal brotherhood in the individual. Even more, an individual develops broad thinking and practical outlook that helps him or her to stand  out of the crowd.

However, one cannot deny the negative influences of host culture. There are students who get health problems and sometimes the new environment makes them feel homesick. It might even be possible that his or her religious and cultural beliefs are looked down by the locals, making him or her feel down. Chances of being affected by vices like drinking, free movements and drug addiction exist and people have been trapped in the evils of such practices.

In conclusion, a student should remember the reason for attaining foreign education and try to emulate the positive aspects of the host culture. (227 Words)
