Some people think that e-books are the death of paper books while others think that paper books will never disappear.

Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

SAMPLE ANSWER-

In the era of cyberspace, e-books are gaining popularity. Though some people anticipate that with the evolution of e-books, traditional paper books have lost their popularity. While others opine that digital books cannot replace reading printed books. This essay will discuss the views.

With the progress in science, e-books are a boon for budding writers and readers. Factors like technological convenience and environment can be kept into consideration. As everything is available with one click online, readers can have access to a vast variety of books in an online library. Moreover, with deforestation at its peak, cutting down more trees for publishing books can be harmful to the environment. Therefore, e-books are pocket-friendly, eco-friendly and convenient to use.

At the same time, some oppose that e-books do not deliver the same physicality and tangibility as a real book. In addition, the feeling of owning a book is quite different from surfing the online library. The concentration level of the reader and better understanding of the characters is part f reading a printed book. There are millions of books available in the market and some of the ancient manuscripts cannot be translated into digital forms. Therefore, though e-books are vivid and colorful, they cannot provide the same impact as physical books to the bookworms.

To conclude, I believe that both traditional books and digital books have their own readers. Since the present generation is more technology savvy, youngsters tend to use digital books. Even though e-books have a flourishing future, physical paper books will never disappear completely.

SAMPLE ANSWER-

In this rapidly changing world, individuals often go through the dilemma of paying more attention to their bank accounts or having more free time for themselves. For this reason, some people compromise with higher income while some bargain with leisure time. I concur with the view that people should not negotiate with the quality of life for money.

There are a majority of people who think having abundant money is the best way to live a life. With better financial stability, they can provide a more luxurious and comfortable lifestyle to their loved ones with the cost of sacrificing their hobbies. The monetary benefits bring happiness and contentment to some people because of which they can provide quality education and health facilities to their families. Thus they prioritize it in place of dedicating that time for leisure activities.

At the same time, some believe that spending long hours on work and having no time to actually enjoy is not the right approach to life. They consider time to be a great equalizer and time spend at work cannot be purchased with money as it leads to stress and other health related problems. Living a healthier life and spending quality time with loved ones is more essential for people and many of them regret it later on in their life. Indeed, many billionaires on their death bed remarked that they wished to have more time with their families.

In my perspective, people should maintain a balanced life by giving equal time to work and personal time. They will lead a more fulfilling lifestyle if they prioritize both factors equally. Focusing just on financial stability will make one dull whereas not being productive has its own drawbacks.

SAMPLE ANSWER-

Thousands of people believe that art is the way of their lives. Although the question of whether art education is elemental for school children has drawn much attention from the public, many schools are eliminating their art programs due to budget constraints. However, I believe that children should learn art-related subjects.

A handful of people think that art is a wastage of time as it does not contribute to education. They are of the mindset that art has no participation in the advancement of human kind and society and it is more like a hobby than a professional field. Science, technology and economics are academic subjects which allow students with better career opportunities. Moreover, with modernization art does not contribute to the progress of civilization altogether.

Despite the above argument, art as a part of the school education system helps to bring out the key creative side among the students. The integration of art subjects like music, drawing, and painting improves the overall academic performance of children and creates a sense of collaboration and socialization. A research conducted discussed that singing in a school choir or band helps students to decrease their academic pressure and teaches them to be responsible and compromise for a common goal.

I admit that art plays an important part in school education system. Introducing art subjects in the school will help the students to be more imaginative, helping them explore the talents they have. In addition, art is intrinsic to the culture, whereas science and technology do not contribute to culture and heritage in the way art does.

Nowadays, more people would rather purchase food than cook at home. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend?

Give ideas about which is better way according to you and why?

Sample Answer

Due to the busy lifestyle, people are consuming more of the processed food in spite of cooking food for themselves. There could be several merits and demerits of this uprising trend. In my opinion, homemade food is far more beneficial as compared to the readymade food.

To commence with the benefits, packaged products such as pasta, noodles, etcetera are easily available in the market. They are instant food products and just need boiling or reheating which in turn save our time. Also, people get so tired after their hectic routine that they lack the energy to prepare meals. Therefore, they find useful to buy readymade food products. In addition, this type of processed foods is easy to carry everywhere, even while travelling. In fact, due to additives and taste enhancers, individuals, especially children, love their taste and their salivary buds are stimulated by these sort of meals.

Despite these benefits, there are ample drawbacks. Firstly, these products are processed and lack their natural nutrition. What is more, many preservatives are added to increase their shelf life which has several health hazards to consumers. For example, sodium benzoate is one of the popular compound used for preservation of packed foods which occasionally can be life-threatening. Secondly, although they are vacuum packed, they can get contaminated by various microbes and cause an abdominal disturbance sometimes causing other lethal diseases like food poisoning, botulinum and many more. Additionally, these products can also be expensive for the consumers to afford.

To recapitulate, I believe that the use of readymade foods has a plethora of detrimental effects and home-cooked food can provide plenty of nutrients to stay healthy and develop immunity.
