Clothes are not only a necessity nowadays but have developed into an industry due to the evolving of fashion and new trends that come up every now and then. New clothes or designer clothes have a lot of styles and attract everyone. I find it great to wear stylish clothes of different types. My wardrobe comprises of a lot of trendy and fashionable dresses and apparel.

I keep attending many events such as formal parties, weddings, prayer meets, and outdoor parties. Each occasion requires me to use a specific outfit, according to the occasion and the place. Basically, I enjoy wearing fine clothes, especially ethic and formal wear. I never let any occasion slip away, where I can go out and meet different people, dressed in my best.

I still remember once I went to a friend’s wedding wearing an ethnic kurta and a dhoti along with a shawl wrapped around, and matching footwear. As soon as I reached the venue, I was content to see that everyone was noticing what I wore. As the event progressed, I got many compliments for my dress, and I thanked people for the same. It was a good day for me, and I really enjoyed it. My choice of apparel turned out to be really good, and I would love to wear such ethnic wear again and again.

Fortunately I don’t have a hectic schedule like most people these days. Since I’m a student so my primary objective is studying. I’ve always been an early riser, so getting up early is not difficult for me. I fervently adhere to the proverb “early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.” I wake up at 5:00 AM and study for an hour. I give paramount importance to my health since I’m a fitness freak, good health for me is a non-negotiable, especially in the light years. I always make sure to worship before leaving the house as it gives me a positive start. I make sure to never skip breakfast because it is my main source of energy for the day. I’ve got four hours of classes, which leaves me exhausted, after returning back home I take some time to relax. I sometimes have a quick snooze. I like to spend time with my family and engage in some fun activities in the evening. This regimen makes me happy and gives me a sense of inner fulfilment since it allows me to divide my time rationally among the key responsibilities in my life: studying, participating in my favourite activities, and spending time with my family.

There are many places apart from my home where I read and write. One such place is my college library. It’s a new library that has been recently built in the college premises. The building is a beautiful structure with three floors. Each floor is dedicated to different genre of books. On the third floor there is a cafeteria and books for children to pass their leisure time. The students can bring their children as well.

I believe it’s a great initiative to inculcate reading habits in them. The furniture provided there is also very comfortable. This library provides several dedicated work stations with computers and internet connection. Besides that it also has online resources which the students can access and also save the relevant data on their laptops and other devices. All these features make it different from traditional libraries. In fact many students are attracted to visit this library for reference work.

I am studying a course in Travel and Tourism which requires a lot of research on other countries. The library has the latest collection of books on tourism industry. Some books are for reference only and can’t be borrowed so I often visit here to make notes. During my exams I go there every day as it helps me concentrate better than home. I love the ambience of the library. The librarian is also very helpful. He is always ready to search the required books for the students who come here.

Many of my friends also visit this library for making notes and consulting books for their research work. I believe it is one of the best places in the campus of the college to read and study peacefully.

It could be a new building that is coming up in the city or a flyover that will change the way transport happens. This time we are looking at a cue card that talks about a part of your city that is changing and tries to note down the points on your feelings about it.

Describe a part of your city that is changing. You should say :

and explain, how do you feel about this change.

Our country is seeing major changes in the recent years. With economy of our country growing, the shift has now come towards making the country a better place to live in. As a result, our government has decided to make 109 cities in the country as smart cities and Dehradun also falls under this plan. We have seen in the present day, the construction of sewers and water pipe line all over the city. But, I think one major change that I would like to talk about is the flyover construction on the national highway roads.

All through the city, there are three major highway out of which two are used for daily communication as well. Construction of flyover took place on these roads. Although, during the construction we faced lot of issues. Because, the road got narrower and until the flyover was made, everyone had to go through it making it difficult to traverse through those path. Even more, there was lot of dust left during the flyover making.

However, once completely constructed it made our lives so much more easier. We had to not bother about those racing trucks as they usually passed over the flyover. This helped in reducing the traffic and more importantly the risk of accidents. I believe it was a brilliant step taken by the government to ensure safety as well as faster pace for everyone while commuting.
