I have been inspired by many people in my life due to their habits and ways of living life. There are many people in my life who have had exemplary conduct and principles of leading life. They have set a good example for me and also guided me onto the right path at all times. Among these people my paternal uncle’s contribution is unforgettable.

My uncle is an upstanding citizen who has led his life with honesty and gratitude. As a high ranking army officer he has always taken wise decisions pertaining to his official duties and as a family man. The basic values of humanity and the importance of education are always the crux of his teachings. He is about to retire from his job and leads a peaceful life with contentment and satisfaction.

From my childhood, he has given me his affection and mentorship with strictness. He gave me guidance every step of the way, taught me moral values through practical lessons and real-life examples. He has also helped me with my studies and helped me make important decisions in life.

Growing up, I learned a lot from his actions and from what he had to say. I admire and respect him the most and consider him to be my role model due to his uncompromised honesty and integrity. I wish to follow in his footsteps and have tried to imbibe all the values and the positivity that his personality exudes. I believe that everyone should have a role model who teaches them the art of living.

Grammar Usage:-

There are many occasions in everyone’s lives when they did something to help others. These acts of generosity are sometimes praised and sometimes go unnoticed. if someone appreciates me for such a thing, I take it as a positive sign and try to do more. I would like to talk about an incident happened with me when I was in the sixth standard.

My best friend at that time was my classmate and belonged to a poor family. He didn’t have his school books as his family couldn’t afford them. He found it very difficult to cope up with the course due to this issue. I thought about helping him somehow and came up with many ideas. With my father’s permission, I decided to ask my seniors for all their used books for the sixth class. I was overwhelmed with their response as many of them came forward with their books to help me and my friend out. I then went to the principal of the school and asked her for a small place in the library with a few empty cabinets. I proceeded to make posters announcing the children to bring their used books from the past years and donate them for the children who could not afford them.

This initiative of mine was praised a lot by my whole school and every teacher patted my back for this noble deed. It was an exhilarating moment when my class teacher came up to the stage the next day and appreciated me with motivating words that moved me and urged me to do more for the people around me.

Books are tomes of knowledge that give every reader perspective. I am an avid reader and quite fond of reading books based on subjects such as religion, fiction, history, science, and motivation. Talking about a title that has influenced me, it would be the book “The Power of Subconscious Mind” which is written by Dr. Joseph Murphy.

My friend recommended the book to me after reading it himself, and I decided to read it. I purchased it from a book retail shop near my home. It was only when I started reading it, that I realized the real meaning of conscious and subconscious mind and how it works. It is categorized as a spiritual self-help book and has had a profound impact on my thoughts and changed my life in a positive manner.

Based on the law of attraction ideology of the writer, it is all about different stages of the human mind. A very interactive read, this book has many short stories based on real-life incidents as examples which portray that with the help of one’s subconscious mind they can get anything they want.

Moreover, it illustrates through stories the immeasurable power of the human will and how to make it work in our favour. This book has influenced me a lot in various ways. I have become more confident and sure of myself. It has taught me in the best way how to tackle tough situations with positivity. I have now decided to live my life with a stronger will by trying to exude the power of my subconscious mind. In my opinion, this book is a miracle and everyone should gain from its idea.

We all purchase new things for various purposes every now and then. In my family, my parents do most of the shopping ranging from grocery to expensive items. I also buy different things as per my interest and I have recently bought a microwave for my home from my savings. It is a piece of electronic equipment for kitchen purposes.

Last Sunday, I was roaming around in a shopping complex nearby my home, when I saw a pamphlet advertising a heavy discount on many electronic products such as televisions, refrigerators and microwave ovens in a shop on the second floor of the complex. I decided to have a look at the products they had to offer. I went inside the shop and found many products being sold at amazing deals, but I decided to buy a microwave. It was available at a thirty percent discount bringing it within my budget. I was happy as I thought about its usage and practicality in my home.

After some thinking and being satisfied with the product, I purchased it and took it home as a surprise. Everyone in my family was pleased as they could use it to reheat food or snacks or make coffee or tea at any time in a hassle-free manner. My mother was especially elated as it would help her to make hot and fresh food without fretting in the kitchen for long periods of time. I was happy that I had purchased this microwave for my household and that it would be useful for everyone.
