Cue Card: Describe a book that you’ve read recently

Cue Card
Describe a book that you’ve read recently.
You should say
● What is the name of the book?
● Who is the author?
● What is the book about?
And explain why you liked it?

Answer – Reading books has always been one of my favourite activities to relax and learn
something new at the same time. Whenever I get some free time, I prefer picking up a book rather than scrolling on my phone.
Recently, I read a motivational book called Ikigai by Héctor García and Francesc Miralles.
The book is based on a Japanese concept known as “ikigai”, which means having a purpose in life or a reason to wake up every day. What makes it engaging is that the authors have included real-life examples from Okinawa, a place where people are known for living long and having fulfilling lives. It highlights how simple habits like staying physically active, eating a balanced diet, and maintaining strong relationships can lead to both happiness and longevity.
I personally like this book because it is practical and easy to understand. It doesn’t feel
overwhelming at all. It always encourages me to reflect on my own life and think about what truly matters to me. I have realized that sometimes we get so caught up in our daily routines that we forget to value the essence of life.
I found this book quite inspiring and meaningful. It motivates me to make small but positive changes in my lifestyle and to focus more on finding my own purpose. I would definitely recommend it to others, especially those who are feeling a bit lost or unmotivated in life.
