Jane M. Klausman Scholarship

There are plethora of scholarships available in market but then which one is right for you and which ones are the best suited. Well, there are many and everyone has their own rights and wrongs. For today we present to you details of “Jane M. Klausman Scholarship”.

What is it?
It was established in 1998 by Jane M. Klausman, a member of Zonta Club of Syracuse, New York and Zonta International Parliamentarian. It is awarded annually to women pursuing undergraduate or master’s degrees in business management. These scholarships may be used for tuition, books or living expenses at any university, college or institution often accredited with business courses and degrees.
Are you eligible?
Women of any age pursuing a business-related program who demonstrates outstanding potential and are living in Zonta district/region are eligible. Although women living in areas with no zonta club are also considered. You can even apply online.
But if you are a classified member or employee of Zonta international foundation and the Zonta international or a family member, you are not eligible to apply.
What is the process?
The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship program operates at the club, district/region and international levels of Zonta International. You may not apply to more than on Zonta district. Applicants are nominated by a local Zonta Club. These are then sent to the respective Zonta governor/regional representative. One applicant per district/ region is selected and sent to the Zonta International Headquarters. In all, 12 international recipients are selected from the district/region applicants.
What is the deadline?
The applications must be completed and submitted according to the club’s assigned deadline.
A club recipient is selected and the name is forwarded to the governor/regional representative by 1 jury 2015. The region recipient is selected and it is sent to the Zonta International Club by 1 September 2015. International recipients will be contacted by the mid October.
