We often go to various places to avail different kinds of services. I too have been to many places like hotels, offices, car showrooms and garages. Today, I’d like to talk about a time when I received poor service.
I work as a senior manager in a software company. A few months ago, my team and I went to a popular restaurant near our office. It was a team lunch to celebrate our successful year. We were greeted, welcomed through the grand entrance and seated. The place was full and quite busy. It took almost fifteen minutes for the waiter to bring water to our table and present the menu. I felt bad but I didn’t make any issue about it. All of us chose our preferences and gave our orders. We kept on talking about different things. Half an hour passed but no one brought our orders. It was very upsetting because we were getting late.
I went to the reception to complain about the delayed service. The receptionist apologized and went ahead to expedite our order. We finally received our drinks and food. We started eating but when two of my colleagues found strands of hair in their soups and in pieces of bread, the situation became unbearable. This was the last straw, we all got up and left the place without saying a single word. After reaching the office, I sent a formal letter of complaint to the restaurant manager. In compensation, we received an invite to an evening meal for all of us, along with a sincere written apology and promise of the best service. We didn’t go there again but it somehow made us forget that bad experience.
Fashion and clothing has always been an important part of the society. We have different dress codes for different occasions. It brings out people differently. Today I’m going to talk about one of my friend who dresses in an unusual manner. Her name is Mansi and she is a fashion blogger. She started fashion blogging with one of the most offbeat dressing sense. Her peculiar dressing sense has actually made her one of the most popular fashion model of the town.
She wears saree with jeans and long boots. Sometimes she wears a scarf as a top. She usually wears different types of hats and caps with Indian outfits which gives her a different look. She has never failed to surprise me with her eccentric appearance. Once I saw her wearing a dress made out of newspaper, she wore it for her shoot. Moreover, I have never seen her repeating her outfits. She can literally prepare an outfit from whatever is available, be it newspapers, pieces of old clothes, pillow covers, bedsheets and even towels. She has also started a small business of fashion clothing and named it “Cranky Couture”. Her fashion store is gaining popularity among townspeople.
I believe her clothing choice is quite strange yet impressive. In a short span of two years, she has gained a lot of fan following in social media due to her unique dressing style. Going offbeat always makes an individual remarkable. I’ve have never seen someone with such unusual clothing before. Her outfits are sure to turn heads. Whenever I go out with her, people look at her with eyes wide open which actually makes me proud of her and the fact how she is normalising such kind of fashion.

Q1.Do you like shopping for new clothes? Answer: Yes Of course! I love shopping for new clothes. Buying clothes makes me happy and it is the only kind of shopping that I enjoy. I often go for shopping when I do some remarkable work and reward myself with new clothes.
Q2.About how much money do you spend on clothes a year? Answer: I don’t remember the exact amount, but I think I usually spend around 10,000 to 15,000 Indian Rupees in a year on clothes and I believe that is the minimum amount that an Indian girl spends on her clothing.
Q3.Do people dress the same when they are depressed as they do when they are very happy? Answer: I feel people dress up differently when they are in different moods. Such as when people are happy they wear bright and colourful clothes, and they actually try to look better than usual. For instance people are most happy when it’s their birthday or some family function, so they try to look best. On the other hand, when people are depressed, they don’t make many efforts to look good.
Q4.What do you think about men who wear earrings? Answer: I think it is completely their personal choice to wear earrings. Fashion is all about comfort and if men are comfortable with that, we should not judge them. Fashion has no gender. Wearing earrings is their way of expressing their sense of fashion.

Childhood is the most cherished facet of everyone’s life. I have several favorite moments of my childhood, but the days spent with my maternal grandmother hold a special place in my heart. She was my best friend, and I loved her the most. Together, we would engage in a variety of enjoyable activities such as cooking, gardening, and field work. Any activity I engaged in with her would naturally become enjoyable. Worship was one of my favorite things to do. As a devout person, I would like to thank my grandmother for always encouraging me to perform prayers and adhere to rites. Every time, I would go with her to the temple and she would show me how to offer it properly. In the evening, we would sit together and sing devotional songs and prayers. My grandmother would always a narrate story before going to bed. My thirst for her stories was uncontrollable and often end up troubling her to narrate two stories in a day. The best part was the lesson and moral values her stories would lead to. My grandmother has always imparted to me her finest wisdom. I believe one must spend time with their grandparents as they are the store house of abundance love and knowledge. I think my grandmother’s lessons are what make me the nice person I am.

Q.1 What activities do kids like to do in school apart from studying?
Well, I believe kids love to engage themselves in playful activities with their friends in school. They enjoy participating in other co-curricular activities like dance, debate, and quizzes, which would give them a paradigm shift from academics.
Q.2 With whom do kids like to play, old people or persons of their age group, and why?
I believe both. When they are at home, they make their grandparents their best friends and learn various things from them; however, when they move out of the house, they enjoy games with kids of their age.
Often, people have to visit places that are overcrowded. Mostly, social gatherings get overcrowded when the size of the venue is small and the number of people visiting there increases. Most of my family members are outgoing people, and they like to be part of social events. When I was 17 years old, my father took me to an overcrowded festival called Kumbh Mela, which is considered an important event in our religion. Kumbh is held every 12 years in Haridwar, which is a religious tourist spot. People from all around the country and even from outside our country visit this festival.
The festival goes on for weeks, though we were there only for two days. During the whole time, we had to be extra cautious with our belongings. It is common for pickpockets to be present at such a spot. I was also advised by my family to be alert all the time because in such crowds, stampedes can also happen, which can result in accidents. Thankfully, nothing like that happened because of proper arrangements and the presence of police personnel. I experienced mixed emotions at this location, as I wasn’t accustomed to such large gatherings. I saw people who were poor and not as blessed as we are. Also, I was fascinated to see saints and sages from different parts of the country.
