Sample Answer

Obesity is a common problem nowadays. It can lead to several other diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, strokes, cardiovascular disease and other chronic diseases. This is mainly caused due to lack of physical exercise and including unhealthy food in one’s diets. There are a number of solutions which can be implemented to deal with overweight.

Firstly, obesity is generally caused by over-eating, especially food that is high in fat and simple carbohydrates. In other words, people do not get obese overnight. Fat develops gradually, as a result of poor diet choices and people themselves are responsible for this condition. People eat fast food in large amounts even when they know it’s side effects. Secondly, people are not physically active and as a result, they end up storing all the calories in their body as fat. Many people do not involve themselves into physical activities willingly while others have a busy schedule and heavy work-load which prevents them from doing so. Poor lifestyle choices has made it even worse.

There are two effective solution to the problem of overweight. One way to tackle with this is to make people aware of the ill-effects of the food that they eat and ensure least consumption of fatty and processed food. Balanced diet should be included in individual’s routine and there should be no over eating. Eating more raw vegetables and fruits is always beneficial as it assures ample of dietary fibre in meals.
Another method of dealing with obesity is to encourage people to exercise more. They should rely more on walking or cycling rather than using cars. Watching TV, or playing video games should be demoralised while physical sports and activities should be promoted.

In conclusion, if a proper diet chart consisting of essential nutrients is followed along with regular exercises, the rates of obesity would soon drop. All we have to do as a community is to spread awareness about its advantages. (324 words)

Humans have shown negligence towards the care of mother nature over the past few decades, the result of which can now be perceived. Pollution can broadly be classified into three types – Air, Water and land pollution. Air pollution is the major reason for global warming and climate change. While water pollution is responsible for destroying water-based ecosystem. Whereas land pollution has even disastrous effects like soil and groundwater poisoning.
Today I’m going to talk about the alarming air pollution levels I experienced in Delhi. It was during winters last year when I visited Delhi to see my aunt after so long. Delhi had changed a lot since my last visit. I was shocked to see smog all around the place that even the air felt so heavy to breathe.
Once I reached my aunt’s house I enquired about the abnormal air quality levels but she told me that these levels were normal here. Such poor quality of air had adversely affected the lives of people in Delhi, causing irreversible lung damage to children and also increasing the risk of cancer, epilepsy, and diabetes. Prolonged exposure to such poor air quality causes migraine, lung cancer and even early death.
I believe no government policies or external efforts can improve the air quality in Delhi, it is the people of Delhi who have to come up with changes in their lifestyle to handle this situation. More use of public transports should be adopted, usage of Electric vehicle must be promoted rather than polluting petrol or diesel engines, avoid burning plastic wastes and using fans instead of Air conditioners can be some helpful measures.
Such small but regular efforts would gradually change the air pollution levels in Delhi.

Answer: Yes, I believe climate change is a major problem now that the whole world is facing. It has led to extreme weather conditions in different countries. Last year due to climate change there was a glacier burst in my state Uttarakhand which caused massive destruction in the region. Hence it is one of the most serious problems nowadays.
