Cue Card Sample Answer:

In today’s globalized world, English is considered as a lingua franca. Today, I’m going to talk about how I learnt this foreign language. Well, I have been in touch with English since my primary school. So, I am an early starter. But, to be honest, I didn’t take English seriously in my school days and studied this language just for examination purposes. Considering its difficulty level, I was well-versed with the reading and writing but I found it very difficult to communicate in English. When I reached the university level, I faced many problems while expressing my views. Therefore, I decided to pay attention to my communication skills, grammar and vocabulary. My English Professor has an imperative role in motivating me.
It’s been five years since I began working on my verbal communication skills. Today, I can confidently claim that I have effective presentation skills and my hard work has been paid off. As I am working as a human resource manager, English plays a pivotal role in my job. I have to interact with the staff members and clients on a daily basis. More importantly, to excel in my profession and to bring the best talent to my organization, I have to be a step ahead of others. Definitely, it won’t be possible without the knowledge of English language.
