SAMPLE ANSWER

Choosing a gift for someone is not an easy task because we always want to make sure that the person receiving the gift really likes and appreciates our choice. For this reason, I always spend a lot of time to select the appropriate gift which suits the choice and personality of the receiver.

Today, I would like to share one such incidence when I spent a whole day to purchase a gift. It was my best friend’s 18^th birthday. She was my classmate in Class 5 and since then we have grown very close over the years. Though I know her well but I was really confused about selecting a gift for her and thought about it for days. She is a voracious reader and I was unable to decide whether to gift her a book or something to mark her stepping into adulthood.

Finally, I decided to buy a book for her as I know she is a bookworm. Few days before her birthday I went to several bookshops but couldn’t find an appropriate book in spite of spending the whole afternoon. Eventually, I went to a bookstore which is in the suburbs of our city. Despite being far, it is famous for its collection. The best part is the owner recommends excellent books as per the personality of the readers.

I reached the bookstore by late evening and they were about to close. I requested the owner to help me quickly choose a book for my friend’s 18^th birthday. He suggested a collection of 4 books which were a compilation of life lessons by a renowned author. I immediately bought the set and went home. When I gifted the book set to my friend she was delighted to have it. She thanked me and hugged me. I really felt happy to have spent so long to buy a special gift for her.

India is known for star studded film industry called Bollywood . Although, there are various talented actors excelling in action, romantic or drama movies, Akshay Kumar has a special place in comedy roles. He has been in the industry for almost three decades doing all kinds of roles, but since last 10 years he has made a name for himself in the comedy circle. I became his diehard fan after watching the movie “Singh is king.” It is one of those movies which can be seen again and again without getting bored. Apart from having an excellent sense of humor, he is a complete disciplinarian as far as his lifestyle and physical fitness is concerned. Millions of young men and women have gained inspiration from his strict exercise regime and teetotaler habits. He has a huge fan following because of his contributions to charity of soldiers of my country. Being a black belt in martial arts, he does all his action stunts on his own which has made him a youth icon. It won’t be wrong to say that he’s a multitalented personality and his movies are a complete entertainment package. (198 Words)

Q1 . Why are film personalities famous?
ANS: Movies are an important part of our lives. We have our very own Indian film industry which is not only famous in India but is Inter nationally acclaimed as well. The film stars enjoy a celebrity status and have a huge fan following. They are role models of millions due to their acting skills, looks and style. These stars also endorse advertisements and support charities. All this makes them extremely popular.

Q2 . Do you think youngsters try to copy film stars?
ANS Of course, not only youngsters but also some grow ups try to emulate actors and actresses. People try to copy their hairstyles and dressing sense. Some even go a step further to become duplicates of their favorite actors by talking and walking like them. Also, fans purchase the products that celebrities are endorsing in order to be like them.

Q3 . What are the benefits and drawbacks of it?
ANS According to me, one of the positives is that people volunteer and donate for the charities their favorite stars support. Secondly, youngsters are becoming health and fitness conscious to look like celebrities. On the negative side, if a celebrity drinks or smokes in public, young people might find it glamorous and get into unhealthy habits.

Q4 . Are famous personalities rich in your country?
ANS Celebrities like film stars and sportsmen are extremely rich in India. They lead an exorbitant and lavish lifestyle. Nowadays, we keep hearing in the media about films that cross 200 crores mark and actors being paid millions as signing amount. They truly are rich and famous people who can afford the haute couture, luxury cars and stay in the most luxurious foreign resorts.

My life revolves around my laptop and I surf lot of websites throughout the day. The website which I visit more often is Sound Cloud. Its my most favourite bookmark.

I am a complete music junkie! I visit the website several times a day to surf the latest music as this is a perfect platform for the releases of new sounds and music. I have been using it for the longest possible time. Almost for the past 5-6 years.

The site is like a whole Pandora box for the music lovers. It contains illustrated tab for the music playing and it shows relevant new music according to your past search and views. For example, I have been able to keep track of this really good artist Juice Worlds by constantly getting notifications and updates of his new music. I think the website is really comprehensive, compact and easy to operate too.

Sound Cloud, for me, is a one-way ticket to heaven. It acts as the best source for party music as well as for times when I like to keep it calm and composed.

The only downside of the website is that you cant really download music from this site and keep it for later use. I think it can be a bit addictive if they allowed it as It would surely take up all the start-up disk space on my laptop. Because it is updated very frequently it is tempting to keep going back and having another look for being the first one to discover a good track. It has often led me to procrastinate when I am supposed to be doing work , I keep telling myself to restrict the amount of time I spend on the site. I haven’t been successful as of yet.

I seriously suggest this website to the insane music lovers and for the ones who already use this site , I bet you’d be an avid a follower as me. (334 words)

Inventions has shaped the lives of people. According to my opinion, internet is one of the greatest technological inventions of this century. It has shifted people’s lives profoundly. A large number of people use the internet for various reasons and have been benefitted immensely. The source can be used from a number of devices. One can easily get the internet services on their cell phones, laptops and other new age gadgets. This is a great cue card topic to talk about.

The use of internet has become a part and parcel of our everyday lives. In the old times, people used to refer to lot of books and visit different sources in order to obtain information. Now the problem has been solved to a major level and its very easy, like a click away to finding information on almost any possible topic.

The internet providers has also managed the costing very well, making it affordable to more and more people.

The other important benefit is that they can make phone calls and can connect to people via easy messaging at any time of the day at any part of the world. Distance is no longer an issue. With the evolution and innovation of internet, people use them for many other purposes as per their interests which include playing games, tracking cars, indulging in social networking sites, uploading their travel pictures, chatting with friends, using utility applications, watching videos and listening to music. The list of advantages is quite large.

The internet is a breakthrough invention for people of all age and barriers. In fact, in this modern times it is nearly impossible to do without the internet. So, people around the globe are using them and meeting their needs. (289 words)
