The world after the end of colonization has got divided into two parts : the industrialized and the developing. The main reason for the difference being the amount of money spent by the countries on different sectors such as education, health and commerce. Although, people living in the developed countries enjoy various facilities, those living in poor countries are faced with constant fear of economic breakdown. The numerous debts of these countries have resulted in a failed health care, an unstructured education system and a weak international trade.

Help from the rich countries will surely help in improving the financial situation of the countries. Firstly, most of the poor countries such as African, are facing acute poverty combined with poor health system making them more susceptible to epidemics. For instance,  the devastating consequences of the AIDS epidemic in those countries could improve if the infected population were to receive free drugs to control the disease, have access to health professionals and get information on how to prevent its spread.

The world operates on money. Although, it is not the most essential aspect of life, yet its importance cannot be denied. Every one needs to make financial decisions concerning recreation, health, education etc. Providing financial education in school can surely help students in understanding money better and make more sensible decisions in later life.

Firstly, understanding money and how it operates is a virtue. Those people who have a better knowledge of the finances tend to understand the economy and the changes taking place in the financial situations better, allowing them to make better decisions. This can be important even for the young. For instance, a child who does not understands the concept of money might never be able to understand the value a particular things hold allowing them to make absurd decisions.

Secondly, often adults lack the financial capabilities especially because of weak foundations or the insecurity that comes along with the concepts of financial terms and concepts. Starting from an early age helps in building a strong background that can very likely prevent such a situation in later years of life.

However, financial studies require setting prices for products and services. This can easily turn young people into cynical human beings, lacking emotions.

IELTS Essay Sample Answer # Computers Vs Teachers

You should spend 40 minutes on this task.

With the increase in technology, computers are increasingly being used for education. Some people believe in the tryst of computers vs teachers,  soon their will be no role for teachers in the classroom.

Discuss.

Computers have brought about incredible change in the education system and the way information is retrieved. The search for information has become easier and amusing, and connectivity has expedited the data availability. Although experts have made computers more intelligent and interactive, they have yet not become a substitute of human interaction in the process of learning. In my opinion, there is a need of change in the teacher’s role but complete disappearance might not be the most pragmatic thing to do.

Acquiring knowledge through computers is undoubtedly the more fun and easier. At the younger age, the mere fact that the information that you want is just a click away instigates lot of excitement. This, accompanied by the software interactivity contributes to a better grasp of new knowledge. Even more, at higher levels, with the availability of online courses, learning has become more broader.

However, although software have come a long way and with the concepts of smart classes existing, one cannot deny the importance of human interaction in the process of learning. The expertise of a teacher in how to explain and adapt complex concepts to different individuals can hardly be mimicked by a computer, no matter how sophisticated its software is.

Overall, technology has surely come a long way and made learning lot more easier. But, a teacher helps in understanding tougher concepts and creating a motivating environment. In my opinion, what is needed is that teachers understand the technology and  bridge the gap between technology and students.
