SAMPLE ANSWER

Cell-phone texting has become a preferred channel of basic communication between teens and their friends, with cell calling being second. There is no denying that technology has evolved over a period of time and has become easily accessible across the globe. One such technology advancement, that has swept the world and made people stick to it, is the mobile phone technology. More and more youngsters are inclined towards it. But, there are some opinions that mobile phones have more negative impact on younger generation than positive.

With so many features being available to them, most of them have dedicated their lives to a five-inch screen. A recent study showed that the people aged between 15-30 years are addicted to phones and are more likely to face depression, anxiety, and heart palpitations. Furthermore, the young people using phones tend to have a negative impact on their studies and job. Most of them lose out on connecting with people in real life because of their over indulgence in the technology at large.

However, mobile phones also have a positive impact. With the crime rates in young people increasing phones make sure they can be tracked. For example, in a recent kidnapping case, police was able to track down the victim using the GPS on their mobile phones. Moreover, many young people have used their mobile phones in fighting corruption.

The latest mobile phones are embedded with powerful tools and there is no denying that. However, most people tend to have compulsions to it leading to a depressed and often anxious individual. So, in my opinion, the mobile phone is a power that needs to be used with equal responsibility.

I recently shifted from Bhubaneswar to Dehradun and took services from ABC travel Corp, for moving my goods to Dehradun. The transportation began on 20/July from House no 122, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar and my goods were delivered at 35 Dutta Enclave, Dehradun on time.

However, on unpacking, I found there were few items that were damaged. Apart from some small scratches in many of them, my desk has been broken and is of no longer use. It had a base of the glass and the glass is in two pieces. In addition, the washing machine has a big dent which has caused some internal issues. As a result of this, the washing machine has stopped working.

Your services had a reputation in Bhubaneswar and therefore I took them. I would request you to either reimburse me the payment for the broken items or replace them.

IELTS Essay Sample Questions # Travelling Parents

You should spend 40 minutes on this task.

Parents who work in jobs that require a lot of traveling have no time for their family. How does this affect the family and the parents? Discuss and give your opinion.

Write at least 250 words.

SAMPLE ANSWER

The world is a global town and people have started traveling more than ever. There are some who take on a journey for personal reasons while most of them have to go round the world for work. With globalization, more and more companies are expanding allowing business to grow, resulting in frequent business travels. Although frequent travels look fancy outside, they have an impact on the social life of individuals.

Parents who have to travel frequently are often left with very little time for their family. In addition, if the time duration of the visit is long, most parents miss out on the growing years of their children. For example, an employee working at my firm once complained of how his new born could not recognize him for few months. Even more, it takes away the daily routine of a family. There are more fluctuations with people moving in and out on regular basis. This often leads to a dismantled family where individuals know less of each other.

Often children, especially the teenagers, feel a lack of connection when their parents are not around for the most part. It has been observed that having parents at home when a child comes and goes out is good for the children psychologically. Studies have even proved that children who spend less time with their parents are more likely to have trouble forming relationships. Even more, having a healthy family life is more likely to boosts the confidence of individuals working in high-pressure jobs.

Overall, although traveling offers new experiences to individuals when done once you are part of a family, often leads to stress for both parents and the children.
