Dear Puneet,

I am writing to apologise for not being able to attend your farewell party. I felt very emotional after hearing the news of your transfer owing to the fact that we will no longer be sharing the same cabin.

The reason I will not be a part of the goodbye party is that my wife is hospitalised due to some minor illness. At this crucial time, she needs my support and attention completely. It will take around a week for her to recover.

Anyways, I wish you a great life ahead. I will never forget the time we have spent together. I have also learned a lot of things from you to become successful in life, like punctuality, perseverance and dedication. You have always been a great support and inspiration to me. We will keep in regular touch through phone and emails. Kindly share your new contact details as soon as possible.

I hope this letter finds you in pink of your health. I am writing to inform you that my studies are really getting affected due to the new tenant, who has recently moved in upstairs. His name is Shantanu and his behaviour is quite weird.

Since, I am also a student and preparing for civil services, I need peace and silence to concentrate on my studies. Shantanu is a also a college going boy. However, he never studies. He is also a spoiled brat. His friends keep visiting him. they all drink and party till late night. Moreover, they also play music at a very high volume which not only disturbs us but others as well.

I have spoken to him about the disturbance and requested him to maintain some silence but, he did not cooperate at all. I would appreciate it if you could speak to Shantanu and ask him to exhibit the behaviour of a good citizen.

In the past few decades, the trend of consuming processed food has increased significantly. A delicious meal not only provides us a sense of gratification but also helps in our growth and survival. Some people are more interested in buying ready meals, whereas, others prefer freshly prepared food. In my essay I will discuss the merits and demerits of eating convenience food.

The predominant advantage of eating ready-made food is that they are highly convenient for the people who do not have time to cook. Moreover, the people who cannot cook feel blessed to have these ready-made meals available in the markets. We can not only consume them as and when we want, but can also store them for the future avail. Additionally, it is easier to carry them as they are properly processed and packaged to increase the ease of consumption. What is more, their nutritional value is also maintained by the manufacturing companies while processing.

As far as drawbacks are concerned, prepackaged foods generally contain a high amount of salt and added sugar. Moreover, a lot of chemical preservatives are used in order to keep them fresh and consumable. These foods often contain fat like unsaturated fat and trans fat in order to provide them longer shelf life. As a result, people often develop the risk of having diseases like diabetes, obesity, and high cholesterol etc.

To conclude, certainly, the processed foods can be a time-saving and a convenient option for the consumers. Nevertheless, they are still unhealthy. People should not compromise with their health for the sake of their time and comforts. In my view, ready-made meals have both their benefits and drawbacks, but the drawback of being unhealthy outweighs all benefits.
