Academic Writing Task: Some people believe that schools should be allowed to evaluate and criticize their teachers

Academic Writing Task-2
Question: Some people believe that schools should be allowed to evaluate and criticize their teachers to improve the quality of education. Others think this is disrespectful to teachers. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Sample Answer:

Assessment of teachers plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education. Few folks reckon that learners should have the privilege to closely evaluate the class performance of teachers and come up with valuable feedback. However, others are against this notion and feel this practice to be quite disrespectful to teachers. This essay will discuss both sides of the argument and state my opinion in the forthcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, teachers indeed get a lot of benefits when learners assess them. Primarily, tutors have an opportunity to know how well the students can understand the lectures delivered to them and can make possible changes to the teaching methods to meet student demands. Subsequently, teachers who do not have acceptable ways of teaching can be given proper training. Furthermore, questionnaire usage for the same purpose without asking students to write their names on it will not hinder them from sharing feedback because they might feel scared to answer the same questions verbally.
On the other hand, opponents contemplate that giving learners the authority to evaluate teachers can have some adverse impacts. First and foremost, it can harm the teacher-student relationship as many pupils would use this situation to vent their frustration. Also, it is not an appropriate way to judge tutors since opinions vary from student to student. Apart from this, teachers feel that their efforts are not valued, and, as a result, their confidence levels are affected as they are always open to criticism.
To recapitulate, I believe that learners should contribute to teacher assessment, but, simultaneously, their feedback should be the only deciding factor for teacher performance. Instead, school or college management can use some other ways of teacher evaluation.(284 words)

Academic Writing Task: business meetings are being conducted online rather than person to person.

Academic Writing Task-1
Question: More business meetings are being conducted online rather than person to person. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend?

Sample Answer:

There is no denying the fact that technology has completely upended our lives. We live in a world where more people communicate with each other via technology than person to person. And business meetings are not immune to this trend. This has both positive and negative aspects, and I will discuss them in the subsequent paragraphs with relevant examples.
To begin with, there are many benefits of exploiting technology to its fullest and people around the world have benefitted tremendously from such modern marvels. Firstly, people can work from anywhere around the world and do not need to be physically present at a particular place. During a meeting they can share the updates and review the data at the click of the button. Secondly, it is of particular significance to people who are unable to travel to office like sick people and pregnant women. Thirdly, it has been found that people are more productive and participate in online meetings more enthusiastically as typically these meetings involve people from higher management. For example, a company I used to work for would have the General Manager among the audience most of the times. As he was based abroad and would rarely visit our office, online meetings made it possible to get in touch with him directly and to keep him in the loop.
There are many disadvantages, however, of online meetings as well. Many people claim that they are unable to present their views adequately, and find it bit inconvenient to meet online. They miss the human touch and the camaraderie between the employees when they choose to meet virtually. Moreover, meetings are not only about business but it also develops a sense of community among the employees. With this significant part missing from their work life, they tend to drift apart from their colleagues.
While I believe technology is the way forward and we cannot shun it altogether, meeting online should be an option we should use sparingly. Completely abandoning meeting in person and using only technology would perhaps not have the desired consequences on either the employees or the company in the long run. (354 words)

Academic Writing Task: The production and processing of milk production for commercial sale.

Academic Writing Task-3
Question: The diagram below shows the production and processing of milk production for commercial sale.
Summarizes the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.

Sample Answer:

The diagram elucidates key processes involved in the production of milk as well as other dairy products for retail sale.
Altogether, there are 8 crucial steps in the process of milk production and all other milk-based products. Starting with cows grazing the grass and end with the consumers buying the dairy products at supermarkets and shops.
As mentioned above, the initial step is to let the cows graze on the green pastures, in order to gain nutrition. Meanwhile, they are put on a milking facility, wherein they are milked via means of a automatic milking machine. Therefore, the ensuing milk is stored in a refrigeration to keep it fresh before transporting it to another place. Subsequently, the milk is loaded into trucks and delivered for manufacturing. Wherein additional processes are applied to it in order to produce various dairy products.
Subsequently, a portion of milk undergoes pasteurization and packed for delivery, while the remainder is crafted into cheese, cream, butter and various other dairy derivatives. Finally, the processed products are dispatched to retail outlets and supermarkets where they become available for purchase by the public. (185 words)

Academic Writing Task-2
Question: The graph gives information about coffee production in 4 different countries from 1990 to 2010.
Summarise the data by selecting and reporting main features and make comparison where relevant.

Sample Answer:

The vertical bar graph compares coffee production in four nations over 21 years, from 1990 to 2010. The data is calibrated in million tonnes.
Overall, the graph shows that coffee production in Brazil, Indonesia, and Vietnam increased in 2010 compared to the previous year’s figure, while production in Colombia declined.
Looking at the details, Brazil had the highest coffee production in 1990, accounting for more than 0.6 million tonnes, and later, the figure rose significantly to nearly 2 million tonnes in 2010. However, Colombia’s production was approximately 0.1 million tonnes less than Brazil’s in the beginning, after which the number experienced a continuous downfall and levelled off below 0.4 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s and Vietnam’s coffee production levels accounted for 0.2 and about 0.1 respectively in 1990. Then, the former nation’s production doubled to 0.4 million tonnes in 2010, whereas, surprisingly, Vietnam’s coffee production was identical to Colombia’s which comprised 0.3 million tonnes.
