Gifting is an integral part of everyone’s lives today. This custom is widespread all around the world for a long time. It is used for expressing various emotions in a physical manner such as love, care, or gratitude. I have received a lot of beautiful gifts that have had a lot of thought put into them, from my near and dear ones. Our culture has a tradition of gifting money when you visit some relative’s place.

I keep traveling along with my parents to other cities when they have work or to attend any functions. We keep meeting different extended family relations, and they really adored me since I was a school going child. Once I went to Delhi, at my paternal uncle’s place, for a small family get-together. I and my mother stayed there for three days, and while leaving my cousin grandmother called me and along with a hug, she gave me two thousand rupees as a token of love.

I was highly humbled and touched her feet while thanking her for it. Having received money from other people in the past, I always make it a point to save it. Following the idea, I did the same there as well and gave the money to my mother to keep in her purse. After coming back home, I added it to her bank account against the F.D. in my name. This has been my idea of using the money received as a gift from the start. Personally, I feel that it is a good practice, as no matter how well you know anyone, you can never surprise them with the best-suited choice of a gift without consulting them. The money can be spent in any manner, for instance, I can spend it for a summer camp, to buy books or stationary, or simply save it for later use.

In many countries today, parents are able to choose to send their children to single-sex schools or co-educational schools. Some people think that children going to single-sex schools have disadvantages later in life.

Parents have every right to decide the best for their children, whether it is the choice of career or the choice of their ward’s school. The question that arises here for the parents is, “Single-sex school or co-education school?”. Different people have different ideologies that sprout different perspectives. These depend upon a number of factors such as their brought-up, surroundings, individual thought processes, and many more factors. These factors motivate parents to choose either one of the given options.

Parents generally have different apprehensions regarding both types of schools. Single-sex schools present the fear of stagnating growth and personality development issues at a later stage. Co-education schools present a possibility of distracting the students with issues such as attraction to the opposite gender.

In my opinion, co-education schools are the best option for children today. Such schools are very much in sync with the general way of life, wherein, both the genders work and live in harmony. In such a situation, my question is, “why separate them in their primary learning phase?

There are many advantages to the co-education system. Students learn to respect the opposite gender, and feel no hesitation while working or living alongside. Other benefits might include more healthy competition, more lively interaction, more fruitful debates, and more organized lifestyles. I agree that there might be a few drawbacks taking place in singled out cases, but these involve other factors as well.

But at the end of the day, my opinion would be in favour of co-educational schools. This is because they help in the complete development of the society and help in shaping its future in a correct manner.

A lot of conflict takes place inside our brains while making a decision. When we start suffering from the choice overload, we tend to avoid the efforts of making a correct decision. Hence, we start seeking suggestions from others.

Recently, I found myself standing on the crossroads and was unable to decide where to go. In that situation, I decided not to bear the burden of the crossroad questions alone. Therefore, in order to reduce that cognitive dissonance, I approached my father for his help.

I was working in a renowned Multinational Company as a manager. Although, I was drawing a handsome salary there, I was not feeling happy and contented as I always wanted to be a businessman. At that point in my career, leaving a stable job just to fulfill my dream seemed quite risky. I discussed my plan with my father and asked for his advice. I told him that I wanted to come back to my hometown for doing business. He motivated me and said that we get only one life to live our dreams. Moreover, he not only shown his belief in my entrepreneurial skills but also supported me financially to establish my own enterprise.

By the grace of God and my father’s blessings, I am running my business successfully. What is more, I am able to provide employment to hundreds of people. That one decision has changed my life completely and the credit goes to my father. It not only helped me to fulfill my individual responsibilities but social responsibilities as well.

A lot of things happen to us on a daily basis. Some of the incidents we forget and the others become memories for a lifetime. A few days ago, due to a meeting, I had to stay back in the office after office hours. While going back to home, I noticed that my car was in a reserve mode owning to insufficient petrol. Since, I had gotten late, I did not stop at the petrol pump to get the fuel filled in my car. Moreover, I had withdrawn myself from the possible consequences of that negligence.

After reaching a few kilometres away from my office, the car suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. As it was already 10 at night, the roads were empty and desolate. Hence, no assistance was available nearby. On the top of that, I forgot my mobile in the office.  I was unable to ask my family and friends for any help. I was perplexed and totally blank in that awful situation. However, I was still waiting for a miracle to happen. I was standing on the road and looking left and right with a hope in my heart. Fortunately, I saw a biker coming towards me, whom I stopped and inquired about a fuel station close by. I came to know that it was a few kilometres ahead from there.

As I could not leave my car there, I decided to push the car until I find it. After an ordeal for almost an hour, I finally reached there and found it closed. I felt so disappointed and frustrated. While I was standing there, completely tired and hopeless, a person emerged out of the air. When he asked about my problem, I briefed him the whole incident. Without giving a second thought he called up his friend and asked him to bring some petrol for me.After a while his friend brought the petrol in a plastic bottle. Moreover, he denied for any payment in return. We exchanged our numbers and that angel has later become my best friend.
