SAMPLE ANSWER-

A safety and security a house provides is one of the biggest priority among people these days. But for some, there is another aspect of a house because investing in one is the biggest financial decision so they are contended by staying a place on lease. I will discuss the merits and demerits of renting a property in the forthcoming paragraphs.

There could be several factors why majority of people prefer living as a tenant. Primarily, people who are not certain about investing high monetary resources on property find it suitable to rent. Renting a property is advantageous mainly because it provides easy mobility and relocation especially when one is not sure about their stay in a particular city. Additionally, the responsibility and accountability like maintenance and repair are shared between the tenant and the landlord.

Alternatively, the real beneficiary is the owner of the house as the tenant does not get any return on the property. There is no stability as the person has to move from one place to another after the expiration of lease agreement. Furthermore, it increases the expenditure of packing and moving to the other place Moreover, the person who leases the place has to bear restrictions, such as not being able to modify the property according to their requirements and prohibition on keeping a pet.

To recapitulate, there are both benefits and drawbacks of rental accommodation in equivalent proportion. Though it reduces the expense of maintenance, in some cases, it leads to reduced sense of home security.

IELTS Speaking Part I Sample Questions # Walk

Walking is one of the best ways to stay fit, especially for those who don’t find time for exercising. However, for some people, it is a part of their daily routine while others do it only if they have a spare time for it. Jogging and brisk walking are popularly followed by people interested in fitness. Moreover, walking is also one of the best stress busters as it helps in reducing anxiety and fatigue as well. This time we are looking at some of the questions related to walking that can be asked in IELTS Speaking.

IELTS Speaking Part I Sample Questions # Walk

Question 1: Do you like to walk?
Answer:  I like taking long walks with my friends and sometimes alone as well. Apart from the many health benefits that it has, walking helps me to relax and spend quality time with my people. Also, it saves fuel expenses.

Question 2: Do you like to walk on your own or with others?
Answer: I usually prefer walking alone as it allows me to manage my own pace. I find it as an excellent way of keeping my body fit and also reducing the mental stress. However, I do go for walks with my family members or friends sometimes, especially to spend quality time with them.

Question 3: Would you say that your city is a good place for walking?
Answer A: Yes certainly, my city has many well-maintained parks, public lawns and pedestrian paths which make it ideal for walking.

Answer B: Not really. I live in a metropolitan city so there are very few places to walk. Nearby parks are the most popular places for walking, exercising or practising yoga/meditation.

Question 3: Do people in your country walk a lot?
Answer: Well, people residing in cities really don’t walk too much as they usually travel long distances in routine. However, the ones living in countryside walk a lot within their vicinity. The city residents consider walking as a fitness medium and prefer early morning walks.

Question 4: Do you think walking is important?
Answer: Yes, I think walking is the best and the simplest way to stay fit in today’s busy life. People hardly have time to exercise and on top of that most of the jobs are limited to the desk. Hence regular walking is indeed very important.

Question 5: Do you think walking in the countryside is better than walking in the city?
Answer: Yes, walking in the countryside is definitely better than walking in the city. The greenery and fresh air that you can enjoy in the countryside is scarce in the crowded cities. Plus, rural areas are more peaceful and pollution-free which makes them perfect for long walks.

Question 6: What could be done to improve the experience of walking in cities?
Answer: Actually a lot can be done to improve the walking experience in the cities like planting more trees, constructing parks and separate lanes for walkers all across. Moreover, there could be special walking zones with no vehicles allowed during some hours of the day.

Essay # Companies sponsor sports as a way to advertise themselves

IELTS Writing Task-2# Essay

Some companies sponsor sports as a way to advertise themselves. Some people think that it is good, while others think it has some disadvantages. Discuss both views.

SAMPLE ANSWER-

In today’s competitive market, sports advertising has a vast scope. Some people opine that sports sponsorship is a great marketing tool in order to promote their products. However, others believe that this marketing trend has tremendous drawbacks. And in this essay, I will discuss both points of view.

Sports sponsorship is considered as a lucrative industry across the globe, companies promote and publicize their products. Therefore, it provides an increase in sales, improves brand positioning and the brand gains popularity. In addition, it is also beneficial for the team as companies sponsor them with monetary resources which improves their performance and helps them gain popularity. Moreover, if a company becomes a brand ambassador of leading sports teams, they can gain huge profits by investing in sports events.

Opponents of this view believe that advertising through sports events is a deceptive way of marketing commercial goods. With increased commercialization of athletics and other sports activities, there is a higher chance of sportsmanship corruption. Furthermore, it would result in impulsive buying as people would be encouraged to purchase products which they rarely use in daily life. For instance, people buy products just because it is endorsed by their favorite cricket or basketball player.

To sum up, funding sports events can be advantageous for both the parties, the team and the company sponsoring them. Controversial issues and conflicts can be avoided if the companies sell quality products and the sports team plays honestly without adapting to any corruptive methods like match fixing and bribery.

IELTS Writing Task Essay # People are moving away from rural areas towards urban areas

IELTS Writing Task Essay

In many countries, people are moving away from rural areas towards urban areas.

Why do you think that is?

What problems can it cause?

IELTS Writing Task Essay # People are moving away from rural areas towards urban areas. Best IELTS Band7 Coaching in dehradun
SAMPLE ANSWER-

Every year, thousands of people leave their countryside houses to settle in urban centers either within the country or across borders. Some people take this step with the intention of improving their lifestyle whereas, others seek migration when they suffer from a natural or man-made disaster. There are various reasons for the occurrence of rural-urban migration and the problems associated with it.

Most of the people who live in pastoral areas are self-employed in agriculture and farming. With changing climatic conditions, agricultural productivity and farmer’s financial security are greatly affected. The city life not only provides countryside people with better job opportunities but also with superior educational facilities thereby compelling people migrate towards conurbation.

Though rural-urban migration can prove to be advantageous from an individual’s perspective, there are some drawbacks that society has to deal with. With an increased rate of migration taking place, there are negative effects on the agricultural industry of a country because the rural development does not materialize. Having a large population in the cities leads to pressure on the natural resources and the services (health and education) of urban areas. Most importantly, due to the high illiteracy rate in rural areas, people are not suitable for better quality jobs and they end up living in slum areas.

To sum up, rural-urban migration is increasing at an alarming rate. I think the government should take action like providing better employment and services in rural areas so that the countrymen do not feel the need to continuously drift to urban centers.
