A very famous proverb ‘Health is Wealth’ depicts the importance of health over wealth. And we realized its value in 2020 when the world was hit by a deadly virus, Covid-19. Where a sizeable number of people lost their lives because of low immunity. In this contemporary epoch it is essential to stay healthy and to stay healthy there are various activities that a person can do. Likewise, I will be speaking about an activity that I follow to keep myself fit.
The activity I do is Yoga. It is derived from the Sanskrit word Yuj, which means to yoke or bind, referring to the union of our own body and mind. In this manner, yoga is an organic technique of helping us keep our mind and body in the same place at the same time.

As I am an early bird, so I wake up quite early and efficiently manage my time. I do yoga in the morning at 5:30 every day on the terrace. My locality is covered with a verdant view which helps to boost my mood. While practicing Yoga, the fresh breeze that blows helps me to rejuvenate and heal internally. It is the best time of the day. After it, I feel energetic and optimistic about the upcoming tasks of the day.

I have taken Yoga classes before, so I’m aware of the various asanas. And I’m capable of doing them without any strain. I start with some stretching and then proceed with some breathing exercises popularly known as Pranayama, which has multiple benefits for the human body. It facilitates and helps in strengthening the connection between your body and mind subsequently, I move on to other asanas.

Yoga has not one but umpteen gains. It helps in keeping our mental and physical health intact. Furthermore, your body becomes more flexible after consistent yoga practice and you also develop a great sense of self-discipline and self-awareness. In short, it improves our well-being and gives us better mental clarity.
