Speaking Part 2 (Cue Card): Tell about a building you want to build Best IELTS Band 7 coaching in Dehradun

Sample Answer

Though, I am not aware of the fundamentals of construction, but I would love to build my dream house. I will be head over heels if I ever get the opportunity to build my own house. It is a place of fervour, amenity, and tenderness that supports us and provides us shelter.

I love peace and solitude. Therefore, I will build my house in the outskirts of the city. I have a dream to own a big and luxurious house with a green lush lawn in the front .The lawn will be decorated by beautiful flowers and trees. A big statue of Buddha will be placed on the main entrance of the house. Consequently it will symbolise serenity and spiritualism prevalent in the house. In addition to that, Interior design of the house will be a mix of both contemporary and modern styles. The drawing room will be spacious to accommodate multiple visitors at a time.

Thereafter, a big modular kitchen will be made on the ground floor whose back door will open in the backyard. Next to the kitchen, I will make a small bar decorated by colourful furniture and  lights. Moreover, I will arrange a separate mini theatre where my friends and family members can enjoy their favourite movies. Bedrooms and library will be upstairs with side glass walls to enjoy the greenery around. To further beautify my house, I will opt for an open green roof with an open dining space.

I want to build and present this house to my parents on their 25th anniversary. My parents brought me into this world and nurtured me in the best possible way. Hence, this dream house will be a small token of love and sentiments,  to pay my debt of gratitude to them.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Street markets are a highly popular phenomenon in a lot of cities around the world. They not only provide a variety of products in different categories but also support the local economy as well. Street markets around the world are set up daily, weekly or monthly!  These markets are standalone events in themselves, and going to shop in them can be a quite wonderful and satisfying experience.

Actually, our locality is one of the main and busiest areas in the city and has one such market too. This market is set up each day, near the main crossroads nearby my place. It is indeed quite large and contains more than a hundred makeshift shops. This market is quite an old one and is being set up every day since the last ten years. The local government setup has helped the people here a lot and has created separate spaces for the shopkeepers. I also go there to purchase a few things every now and then. The first time I went there, I had to buy a few things for my home such as vegetables, fruits, and other routine items.

As soon as I went inside the market area, I found that it was very crowded. People were walking in all directions, hurrying to buy things. With a little difficulty, I found and purchased everything that I needed to buy and then sat down on a bench to relax. It was a hot summer day hence I decided to relax along with a glass of sweet lemonade and some locally made snacks. All the vendors and shopkeepers there are very nice and provide goods at reasonable prices. Although very busy, the market has a very nice atmosphere, and I find it a good experience to go there and buy things.

IELTS SPEAKING TASK 2 CUE CARD RECENT ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE Best IELTS Band 7 Coaching in dehradun

Sample Answer

There aren’t many malls and brands available where I live in. That’s why buying products online is the only optional left. This has made me a frequent buyer from online portals. I keep buying my daily need products from different-different websites.

Here, I can recall one of the incidents of my online shopping experiences as I had never faced that problem before. Recently I was in need of buying a watch for my brother’s birthday. I wanted to buy a latest watch from Casio Retro Vintage collection and this watch was not available with many of the online shopping sites but I found that watch on Jabong.com. Even though I am a confident buyer, I was quite sceptical about this site.

My all the doubts turned into reality after receiving my order. Being a fragile item packaging should be the first concern. But to my surprise, the watch I ordered wasn’t packed properly. When I opened the package, I found that watch was completely broken. After that I tried to get in touch with the customer care. I made many calls to them, sadly they were unable to provide any proper answer to my queries related to the return or refund of my amount.

This left me really helpless. I have found this one of the major drawbacks also of online shopping as we don’t meet the sales representative in person. Few weeks ago I got the mail for inconvenience caused by them to me but again there was no information related to refund.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience. From that day onwards I have decided not to buy anything from that particular website only.

But there are many people who are aware of this damage and its consequences. One of these people is my best friend’s father, and I am proud to know him. He has worked for various NGOs that work towards such causes.

In his personal life, he does everything in his power to support the environment. Actually, he is committed and dedicated to such causes, especially the cause of planting trees. He cares a lot about the trees around him and has worked a lot in this direction. Since the last five years, he has been planting trees in his locality and the nearby areas. He has put his own efforts to get the unofficial dump yards nearby cleared to plant more trees, and contacts the owners of all empty plots nearby in order to clear them of any waste and to plant more trees.

He also keeps planting trees in other public places such as schools, offices, and gardens. Apart from this, there have been many rallies and green drives organized by him in order to get more trees planted. This also enables him to spread more apprehension in people about deforestation issues. I have also taken part in these rallies, and love planting trees with him.
