Rajiv-Gandhi-Cricket-Stadium Best IELTS Band 7 Coaching in Dehradun

Sample Answer

I live in Dehradun city which is home to many parks and gardens. The most illustrious of them, in my opinion, is a sports ground named Rajiv Gandhi International Sports Ground. It is situated on Raipur road near the center of the city and spreads over a massive area of forty thousand square meters.

The stadium is a crown jewel of Dehradun city and makes it capable to host international sports matches and championships. It is the largest multipurpose ground in the city and is the most favored place amongst fitness and sports enthusiasts. I visit it twice every day for a morning and evening jog. I also stay there for an hour after my jog on Sunday mornings to enjoy a game of badminton or basketball with my friends.

The ground is fully equipped with covered parking spaces on two sides, a cafeteria, drinking water dispensers, and an area designated for different sports such as basketball, football tennis, and badminton.

The place also has relaxing gardens with an ample number of trees and flowers. It is surrounded by a paved pathway lined with benches and evergreen trees with thick foliage at regular intervals. This pavement is ideal for walking and jogging. Such amenities make it worth a relaxing stroll in the morning or evening hours. Many health-conscious people visit this place on a daily basis for their routine exercises and playing different sports.

Sample Answer

I have been brought up in a family with moral values. One of the most important one as per me is the virtue of helping others in need. This value has enabled me to help everyone around me in different ways without expecting anything in return. The most recent incident I can recall was when I helped a family of three people to reach their destination.

I was coming back after dropping my friend off at her hostel located in the outskirts of the city when I saw a car parked next to the road. The driver was desperately trying to signal other drivers for help. This sight piqued my interest as the car was a taxi from another city. I stopped my car next to it and got down to speak to the driver. I then came to know that they were out of fuel and could not go any further. There were no fuel pumps nearby and the family was getting late to reach their relative’s wedding in due time before the celebration started.

Without wasting any more time, I offered to drive them to the hotel where the wedding was taking place and told them to shift to my car. They happily accepted my offer and sat in my car with their luggage. Before leaving, I gave the driver directions to a fuel pump. I took this decision as it was a small family with a one-year-old daughter. Everyone looked exhausted due to the long journey. They were very happy and relieved to get such help from an unknown person. They thanked me profusely for the same.

IELTS SPEAKING # A Good law which has recently been introduced.

IELTS SPEAKING TASK CUE CARD

A Good law which has recently been introduced

  • What that law is?
  • Benefits of that law?
  • Why do you like that law?
Sample Answer

My country is a democratic country. It is the largest democracy in the world. Since the Independence of our country, many laws have been implemented by the government for the betterment of a society.

Here I would like to talk about a law which has been introduced recently, around 2 years ago. It’s called LGBT law. This law is concerning the recognition of same-sex relationships, including same sex-marriages and domestic relationship. Originating from very conservative societies, lesbian, Gays, Bi-sexual and Transgender used to hide their identity in front of others. Earlier people with same sex preferences used to hide their identity because they were scared to get the criticism from others. These people struggled a lot and had a legal fight for years to get this law implement. At the end government took the decision in their favour. After getting the legal approval from the government, they feel free to face the people in the society. Now they can roam more confidently without feeling awkward because of their choice of partner.

I personally feel that in a society everyone should be treated equally. Any discrimination on the basis of caste, religion or sex-preferences is morally unacceptable. Earlier these people with same sex orientation used to feel out of the part of the society. In my view, this law is a boon for their existence.

Describe a journey that didn’t go as you planned

Sample Answer

Vacations are supposed to be a fun break from the monotonous routine of our lives though sometimes it doesn’t go as expected. It reminds me of an incident of a failed solo trip I planned. After being inspired by various YouTube travel bloggers, I decided to at last tick it off my bucket list and got my bookings done for Andaman & Nicobar Islands. I researched quite a lot before my trip to avoid any major obstacles.

I booked my flight for the journey from Delhi to Port Blair from where I had planned to take a hotel to refresh myself for the sightseeing. It was a four days trip in which my idea was to cover Port Blair, Havelock Islands, Neil Islands and then return to Port Blair. Going by people’s advice and my own research, I had kept all the necessary things that might be necessary.

Everything was going as planned until I arrived at my destination. It was the climate of the place that didn’t suit me and I started to feel nauseous as soon as I landed. When I looked for my medical kit, I noticed that it was missing. I somehow reached my hotel by booking a cab where I found a Wi-Fi connection as there were network issues in the entire area. After contacting my family and telling them about my whereabouts, I went to see a local doctor and on my way back I lost my wallet. After pleading to some of the locals and telling them about my situation, they helped me reach the hotel. On the second day, after reaching my hotel at Havelock, I realized that I booked it for the previous date instead due to which I had to pay an extra amount to stay there. Later, my guide informed me about the unpredicted weather conditions due to which I had to spend my next two days in the hotel room as red alert was declared in the entire area.

As it is rightly said that to err is human, I learned quite a lot from the mistakes I made. Though I faced many hurdles during my journey, I realized that due to my carelessness and irresponsibility, I spoiled most of the enjoyable part of my first solo-trip. Had I been more cautious and accountable towards my bookings and carrying my medicines, it would have been a more gratifying experience.
