Sample Answer 1:

My school life was perhaps the golden period of my childhood, and I am thankful for the wonderful experience it was. My teachers were highly qualified people, who were great at what they did. I admire and respect them for the way she helped me shape my life. I would like to mention one teacher in particular, Mrs. Uma. She was our class teacher for the seventh grade and taught us computer science.

I remember Mrs. Uma teaching us computer science during those years in my school. We were lucky to have her as our teacher as she had a great way of teaching. She was a very humble and down to earth person who taught us in an interactive manner to make the subject enjoyable. We always paid attention in class and never felt bored as she used to carry out small games and narrate interesting incidents in between the class.

Sometimes, she used to cancel the class and take us out to the lawns and gave us important life lessons that helped us inculcate many moral values. She made a lot of effort, going out of the way to help us grasp the intricacies of the subject. The way she gave individual attention to all the students, urged us to put more effort into our studies. She was a patient listener and always asked the students to approach her for any sort of problems that we might face even apart from studies. I used to stay back after school to take extra classes from her and she dedicatedly used to help me with the studies. She is a very noble person and I thank her for having such a positive influence on me.

Sample Answer 2:

Teachers play a very important role in moulding the lives of a child. I consider myself lucky to get several good teachers throughout my academic years. One of the teachers was, Mr Swatantra Gupta. He was our English and social science teacher in class VII and taught us English in subsequent classes. He was a really good mentor and guided all of us in the right direction.

Initially, we thought that he does not know how to teach but later on, I realised that not only was his way of teaching unique, it was also effective. In the social science class, he used to make everyone stand up and speak out the lesson. We thought, maybe he is lazy enough not to speak for himself, but after few months we realised that it was because of him that our pronunciation and style of speaking had improved.

He used to particularly make me stand up and ask me to read the entire lesson. It was tiring but at the same time, very exciting. He even pushed to take part in different competitions and plays and suggested my name to the principal for the district debate competition.

I think it was his faith in me that I actually started working on my strengths and become more confident.

SAMPLE ANSWER-

In my life, I have met many elderly people. Here I would like to talk about an old lady I came in contact with while volunteering at an old age home in my city. During summer break in my school days, me and my friends decided to offer our services at an old age home as we spent our evenings helping the residents there. It was at this old age home that I came across Mrs. Dsuza whose positive approach towards life really inspired me.

One evening, all the senior citizens were narrating their stories about how they ended up at that place. Mrs. Dsuza also unfolded her story. The fact which impressed me about her the most was the way in which she was praising her son and daughter-in-law even after they left her at such a tender age. After hearing her story, I felt extremely sympathetic to her.

She had a joyful and generous nature. We learned about the betrayal she has gone through from her own blood but still she didn’t speak a word against him. Her son promised to take her back within a few days but never turned back. Any person would have cursed if their son had done that but this old lady already forgave her son.

As I have told earlier, this lady was very generous and kind- hearted, she treated me like her own grandchild. As all the residents had access to the kitchen, Mrs. Dsuza used to prepare meal for us. Neglected by her own, she built a family for herself with her unconditional love and care.

Cars are the most comfortable and convenient mode of travelling. Its relaxing to travel by a car till time its working smoothly. But it really annoys when you’re excited about something and it does not turn out as per your expectations. This cue card reminds me of a road-trip me and my cousins had planned. We all were extremely excited as at last we were able to execute our plan for a trip to Nanital, which is an aesthetic hill-station on the foothills of Uttarakhand.

When we headed for our trip, we made sure that our car is in perfect condition in terms of fuel, air and other equipment that were required. As soon as we crossed our city, we heard a loud noise. Initially, we ignored but later a passerby informed us about the punctured tyre of our car. We all were flustered as none of us knew how to replace a flat tyre and unfortunately we couldn’t locate a mechanic nearby.

As I told earlier, I was with few of my cousins and it was our first road trip. We made a mistake of taking a shorter route due to which we were not able to find immediate help. Since we were allowed on this trip after a lot of requests from our elders, everyone was anxious about informing our parents.

By good luck, a car came by which was heading towards the same destination. The family in that car helped us in changing the tyre. It was so sweet of them to help us in such a situation. After this experience we decided to take rest at a nearby place as we all were exhausted before continuing our trip.

IELTS CUE CARD # DESCRIBE YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE. Best IELTS Band7 Coaching in dehradun

SAMPLE ANSWER-

There are some movies that we watch and forget while some others have an everlasting effect on our lives. I would like to talk about my favorite movie, 3 idiots. It is a Bollywood movie directed and produced by a well-known Indian director, Raj Kumar Hirani. Since it was based on a renowned novel ‘5 Points Someone’ and one of my favorite artist, Aamir Khan is casted in it, I was extremely eager to watch this film.

The film is focused on three college friends from a prestigious institution of India. The plot revolves around the protagonists belonging to different cultural backgrounds who have different goals in life but they end up in an engineering institution. Thus, talking about how Asian parents force the dreams on their children. One of them has a unique approach towards life and is blessed with a super technical mind. On the other hand, his friends were not that brilliant and were not interested in a particular field.

This movie was released in 2009 so it’s been quite a long time but it still remains on the top of my all-time favorite movies. I remember watching it with my friends during my school days. The film is beautifully crafted and has some exciting twists. It gained pretty good recognition among audience worldwide.

This is my favorite movie as it has many messages to deliver on friendship, success and the education system of our nation. The movie highlights a friendship bonding among three college friends. It also teaches about following our passion instead of worrying about grades in order to be accomplished in life. The film also questions the Indian education system where one gets job placement based on grades rather than creative ideas and invention.
