A weddings signifies the culture and traditions of a country. In the past few years, the wedding industry has marked a remarkable growth worldwide. Certainly, a wedding is not an unvoiced affair, but a magniloquent event. Some people believe that spending freely and lavishly on weddings is acceptable whereas, others think that it is not required at all. I will discuss about both the views in my essay.

On one hand, Indian weddings have a great contribution in generating employment. As wedding industry requires the services of other segments also like hospitality, catering, apparels, decoration and makeup etc. Additionally, an expansion of wedding industry indicates a substantial growth in other service sectors as well. What is more, marriage is once in a lifetime event. Therefore, people spend lavishly to make it a special and memorable moment. These weddings bring all family members, friends and relatives at one place. So, they get an opportunity to spend some quality time together with lots of fun and enjoyment.

On the other hand, predominantly, a tradition of grand marriages puts a burden on the people who are not affluent financially. People not only spend their lifelong savings on these weddings but also borrow lofty loans just to impress the society. In addition, varieties of cuisines are prepared and served to the guests. Many times a large portion of food remains unconsumed and is wasted eventually. This money can otherwise be invested and utilised for other productive endeavours.

To conclude, wedding is the most pious and auspicious ceremony in our life. It has lately become a subject of reputation and pride. In my opinion, in spite of spending money carelessly on these magnificent weddings, tying a knot should be a simple and private affair.

Dear Sir,

I am Suzanne. Presently, I am working as a marketing professional in Dreams Unlimited Pvt Ltd. I am writing on behalf of my company to book a conference room in your conference centre. In this context, I would like to get few details about your conference centre.

Our company is organising a special training course for its employees on the 1st February 2019. The timings of this one day event would be from 9 a.m. to  6 p.m. To facilitate this training, we require a fully air conditioned big room to accommodate around 100 people. Furthermore, the main conference room should also have an adjoining break room where the members can relax and enjoy the tea session.

The room should be installed with a whiteboard and a digital projection screen along with a sound speaker system to communicate effectively with the attendees. Additionally, we would also like to know about the menu for tea and lunch break.

I look forward to hearing from you so that I can forward the details to the management for booking.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by your company. I recently placed an order for a black party dress on your shopping site on 30th December 2018.

Although the maximum time of delivery in your company is 7 days, I received it after 10 days. The moment I unwrapped the courier, I was shocked to find a casual dress instead of a party dress. Moreover, the colour and dress material were different. You can imagine how unpleasant it was to receive wrong delivery of your much awaited product.

Since, I have to wear this dress in my friend’s birthday party, I immediately contacted your company I spoke to the customer care executive and asked for the exchange. To my surprise, he refused to exchange the product. Given the fact that I am a regular customer of your company, it was a very disappointing experience.

I insist you to urgently look into this matter. You can either exchange the dress or return the money, otherwise, I will be forced to go to the consumer court.

I am writing to inform you about the presentation I have recently attended. The theme of the presentation was ‘A Review on Holistic Marketing’. It was held at Asoka Hotel in Delhi on 21st December 2018. Although it was a two day presentation, all marketing professionals attended  and enjoyed it. The Managing Director of our company chaired the event.

This marketing presentation focused on various strategies to be adopted to sell the product or services applying a holistic marketing approach. Furthermore,It really enhanced my knowledge about the importance of holistic marketing approach in customer satisfaction and growth of the business.
