Sample Answer

People develop special abilities to do something with enough practice. I have the capability to do many things, but something I am very good at is driving. As a child, I used to enjoy rides with my father, and I was always curious about how he did it. I wanted to learn to drive from my father, but he always told me to wait till I was old enough. The minimum driving age for a two-wheeler in my country is sixteen, but I couldn’t wait long enough. Once, my friend, who was allowed by his parents to drive, gave me a chance to get my hands on the steering wheel.

I was a bit nervous initially, but once the car started to move, I was thrilled. My father did help me get better at it and also helped me get a driving license. There are a lot of advantages to knowing how to drive. I save a lot of time when I take my own convenience to any place. Once, I drove my neighbor’s car when they needed to get to the hospital urgently.

I would say I am getting better at it because now I can drive for longer hours with fewer stops in between. Driving on steep turns on mountainous routes is not that complicated for me now. I also assist my father on long journeys during a family trip.
I did teach driving to my younger brother. It takes a lot of patience to teach something to a complete beginner. I am hopeful that he will be of help to others, and I also keep giving and taking driving-related tips.

Q.1 How do people learn skills in your hometown?

People generally learn skills from someone in their social circle. If the skill is for day-to-day use, like cooking, it is learned from a family member. Social skills are mostly learned through classmates and friends. For more profession-related skills, people prefer an educational institution.

Q.2 How do people become good at a skill?

I believe learning any kind of skill takes a lot of dedication and hard work. Be patient with yourself and learn a little at a time. Enough repetition can make you an expert i. The real key to becoming a master of your skill is to keep coming back to it from at regular intervals.

Q.3 What kind of skills are important to learn for every individual?

I think skills such as time management, managing finances, building rapport, and social adaptability are necessary to learn. In today’s modern era, computer skills, interpersonal skills and stress tolerance are vital to learn.

In the tapestry of individuals who have influenced my life, my friend Eugene shines as a guiding light. He is a gym trainer by profession. I met him at the gym where I go regularly. In no time we became good friends and as one day, we were sharing our interests I came to know that he is good at playing the guitar and I told him I have always wanted to learn guitar but couldn’t get enough time out of the busy schedule. As it is complex and requires a lot of training. But he insisted me on pursuing my passion. So, I asked him if he could guide me and he agreed.

I was truly inspired to see that he managed to keep up his passion while working a full time job. He inspired me to learn the guitar. But I felt as I’m older now, it’s too late to learn. But he told me that age is just a number and that learning anything new requires consistent practice. I got so inspired by him that I got myself a guitar and starting taking online classes in order to learn the new instrument. I was astonished by my progress in a month and soon I started playing it for my family and friends. Somehow, I realized that it relaxes my mind and it has become one of my favorite things to do. I will always be greatful to Eugene for inspiring me and helping me pursue my passion.

According to me at an early age, parents and teachers motivate children the most. Somehow, teachers and parents become a role model for these toddlers. But, as they grow up they start idolizing actors or sports personalities.

Q.2 How can teachers motivate children ?

Teachers play a vital role in encouraging young minds, as they act as role models. So, I believe teachers can motivate children by recognizing there efforts and allowing them to explore their curiosity.

Q.3 How is it different from teaching kids ?

Motivated students are more excited to participate in class as, their thought processing gets high because of the motivation. Whereas, unmotivated students can disrupt the whole class.

Q.4 What should teenagers have?

These days it is very challenging to motivate teenagers. So, they need to feel accepted and valued by their friends. Parents need to keep a watch on them and respect their independence.
