Poor Student Behavior # Essay For IELTS

Many schools these days have problems with poor student behavior. Why do you think these problems occur? What could be done to tackle these problems?

A child is the mirror of society, he portrays exactly what he sees. We are living in 20xx and the world is changing with a speed like never before. More people are becoming independent, more people are earning more money, more people don’t have time and more people don’t know how their children are! This is a dark fact of our present society and those living in an illusion that they are very close to their kids need a wakeup call. There are numerous ill-effects of this but the most threatening is that a poor student behavior is being observed in schools.

Media can be truly regarded as the foremost reason behind it. It could either be television or movies or internet. The content displayed, has drastically changed for the worse. A decade ago maximum number of shows could be watched with family; these days the creators are more concerned about high ratings than the ill effects of the shows. For example, if there is a joke about teacher in a comedy show, the children watching it try to imitate with their own teacher, leading to embarrassing situations. Even more, the content of movies has become questionable. The effects worsen when kids try to imitate their favorite stars.

Poor parenting can be considered the second most important reason. Most of the parents living in urban cities don’t have time for their children. They usually don’t know what they are doing or what they are watching. As a result, more kids are becoming violent or irresponsible because they know that they might not get into trouble for whatever they do.

A child is like clay, whichever way you mould it becomes of that shape. If the behavior of kids need to be improved, the parents need to increase their presence in child’s life. A child must be aware of the consequences he/she can face for a particular action. Even more there should be more of teacher parent interaction. A teacher must know what the child does at home and a parent must be aware of his/her child’s doing at school.

To sum up, it can be said that the world is changing and if we don’t put an eye on our kids the future of this world is quite threatening.

Increasing Levels Of Obesity # Essay For IELTS

All over the world, societies are facing a growing problem with obesity. The problem affects both children and adults. What are the reasons for this rise in obesity? How can it be tackled ?

A “maddening rush” has market the 21st century and the interesting thing about this rush is that instead of making people slim, it has ended up making them fat. Obesity is a growing concern worldwide, not only in children but also in adults. This has not only led to grave issues for the government but also has impacted individuals life.

Nothing just comes out from air, there are always reasons behind it; obesity has its own. The most impactful reason is that people have lost the importance of regular exercise. Few decades back, when automobiles had not found its way into the lives of common man, people travelled either on foot or on cycle and therefore led a healthier life. The present scenario is such that, even for a walk of 100 meters people take out their bikes. The next most important reason behind increased obesity levels is fast food. At present, people usually lead a stressful life with no time to spare on their bodies. As a result, balanced diet has taken a back seat and fast food has become common. Regular eating of fast food not only leads to obesity, it also causes other health ailments. Internet could also be held responsible for the increasing level of obesity. With the advent of internet, people instead of meeting their friends, chat with them on phone; instead of playing football or cricket, they enjoy playing fifa or other games on their phones; resulting in a dramatic decrease in physical activity.

Although obesity is becoming common amongst individuals, we can still fight it back. Firstly, people must be made aware of the importance of regular exercise. Campaigns regarding it ought to be done in offices, schools and colleges. For example, the prime minister of India observed “the yoga day” recently wherein people all over the country did yoga. This was a great initiative and the world needs more of them. Secondly, sports activities must be held and involvement of individuals must be made compulsory in offices, schools and colleges.

Overall, obesity is a serious issue dawning the world and proper measures must be taken immediately to get over it, before it is too late.

Increased Stress Level # Essay For IELTS

Although most people are richer than in the past, modern life seems very stressful, and the number of people suffering from stress is at record levels. What are the main causes of stress in modern life and how could stress be reduced?
Write at least 250 words.

We are in the 21st century. Industrialization has already taken its toll on our lives and we have moved further to the digital era. Gone are the days when people enjoyed sitting beneath the trees or looking at the sky, counting the stars. Neither are the stars anymore, nor the trees , nor the time to do it. This modern era has been marked with “rush”, the rush to do things, the rush to achieve new heights, the rush of living so fast , that people often forget how to live. We have finally forced ourselves into leading a stressful life.

The increased competition is the most important reason leading us to a stressful life. The population of the world has increased many folds while the number of jobs almost remained the same. This has led to an environment where people know they could be fired if they don’t give their best, resulting into high stress levels amongst them. Loss of satisfaction, could be regarded as the next most dreadful reason, leading to stress. No matter an individual has everything, they are not satisfied. The urge to earn more, live better, live higher than others, has caused an increased stress among individuals. The one most important reason, often ignored, is environment. We are living in an ecosystem that is unbalanced. The trees that gave us fresh air, have been replaced by industries that throw out green house gases, that directly affect our bodies. In the name of modernization, we have killed birds ,animals and even polluted rivers.

The only way we can get back to leading a normal life is to go back to where we started from. Exercise needs to be imbibed by us in our daily routine. Secondly, we need to start being satisfied with what we have and then aim for higher goals. Thirdly, environment calls for attention. If we do want to lead a normal life, environment must be given its due attention. We need to work towards growing trees, using public transport or sharing transport, feeding birds and just doing our bit.
To sum up, stress levels have increased because we are running in a rat race which has no finish line. To lead healthier life it is required to get out of the race and live a more meaningful life.
