Banning Dangerous Sports # Essay For IELTS

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Write on the following topic:

Some people believe that dangerous sports should be banned.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

You should write at least 250 words.

Life is liven on the edge, those who never take risk die more often than they live. There are many who love adventures and enjoy taking risk more frequently. However, it has been seen that often people die or injure themselves for life while doing an adventure sport or a stunt. It is because of these incidences that some people believe that sports involving risk of life must be abolished. However, I believe that death is fatal, banning a sport won’t save anyone’s life. Although, proper care must be taken to avoid such incidences.

Dangerous sports such as river rafting, bungee jumping, sky diving etc come with their own risk and fun. It depends on individual whether the risk and the fun involved if adventure for them or not. Therefore banning such sports might not be the best thing to do. Firstly, it is not compulsory for everyone to play such sports. The decision is always of an individual, banning such games would deprive a person of his/her decision. Secondly, there is always a proper training, only after which do people go out to play such games. For instance, a person requires a sky diving license before he/she can do it which involves rigorous training. Thirdly, a little amount of risk is involved in every game, be it cricket or football or any other. For example-: Philips Hughes of died recently while playing a ball during a cricket match. This surely does not means that one must ban cricket.

However, proper training and equipment must be carried while playing such vulnerable games. For example-: if a person without knowing how to ride a bike, tries doing a stunt, chances are high that he/she may get himself/herself into trouble. Even more, it is preferred to have some kind of health insurance if you are involved with such sports.

Overall, I believe, the biggest risk in life is to not take any risk at all. Banning vulnerable games would in some way take away the freedom of an individual. Although, it must be made sure that everything is technically sound before you perform the sport.

Job Satisfaction # Essay For IELTS

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Write about the following topic:

Some people argue that it is important to have an enjoyable job than to earn a lot of money. Others disagree and think that a good salary leads to a better life.
Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience.
Write at least 250 words.

Most people do a particular job to earn money and lead a luxurious life while there are even some who follow the untraded path and define success on their own terms. I believe that since work takes a lot of time of our lives, we must make sure that we love it. However, not everyone is fortunate enough to follow their own heart. In this essay, I will discuss both views and present my
opinion.

Doing what makes sense to us, although requires lot of courage, brings great benefits along with it. Firstly, achieving success is never tough. When you do what you love, you do it more often. Most importantly, you pour your heart out on it and this leads to success. Secondly, loving your job allows you to lead a more meaningful life. For example-: Steve jobs loved computers and it was only because he loved it, he was able to revolutionize the field of computers. Thirdly, you may not earn money, but you surely earn yourself. A person who enjoys his/her work, tends to live a more happy life and is often seen to respect oneself more.

However, earning less money and doing an enjoyable job may not make sense to many. Most people have tough financial conditions, which makes it difficult for them to choose satisfactory job above money. For instance-: a person who is the sole bread earner of a family will surely choose a high earning job to ensure a good life to their family. Secondly, most people don’t understand the importance of job satisfaction. They believe that happiness can always be bought from the market and for that you need money. This is often seen in people who come from a poor background because they have seen a life of starvation.

I believe that no matter how bad the situation is you must always strive to follow your heart. Doing something only for money, not only lowers down your self-esteem but also deprives you of the real fun in life that comes from doing the work you love.

Globalization # Essay For IELTS

As mass communication and transport continue to grow, societies are becoming more and more alike leading to a phenomenon known as globalization. Some people fear that globalization will inevitably lead to the loss of cultural identity. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Write at least 250 words.

With coming of globalization the world is surely becoming a global village. With the growth of mass communication and the increased interest of individuals in travelling, people are experiencing different cultures first hand. With this, the borders are getting blurred and individuals are becoming more alike. Although many cherish this phenomenon, there are even fears that people will forget their own identities. However, I believe that it is upon individual to cherish their own identities and no external factor can take it away without your own consent.

With more and more people going abroad for education or jobs, there is no denying that the societies are merging into one. But it must not be forgotten that travel has always led to formation of new societies and this is not a new concept. Even in ancient times, people traveled and settled, taking their own culture with them and forming new cultures. Even more such movement, makes it possible for an individual to become a global citizen, wherein they consider the issues of the world and try to solve them.

However, people rarely do forget their cultural identities. For example-: even though many Indians have settled in Britain after Freedom, they are still recognized as British but whose ancestors are from India. In some cases people they even celebrate their own festivals.

Although people fear globalization, I believe it is positive. With more and more people travelling or settling in different countries, chances are that we all will become united, living as a one whole planet, rather than separated by borders. Even more this cross-cultural interaction can even create new cultures or identities as has happened in the past.

Overall, one never forgets his/her own identity but with globalization people become more tolerant of other people cultures and learn to respect the differences.
