IELTS Cue Card Sample Answers # Ideal Parents

The most important person in any individual’s life are his or her parents. Parents are the people who tend to shape the individual. Although, every individual admires his or her parents the most, their are certain people in our lives whom we adore irrespective of whether they are associated with us or not. Let us today have a look at questions related to ideal parents that might be asked in the cue card section.

Describe people that you know and believe to be very good parents.

You should say:

  • Who are they?
  • How did you meet them?
  • Why do you think they are good parents?

and explain what it requires to be good parents.

Parents are the most important people in any ones life and my parents are the most important for me. But, I think when it comes to talking of people I know and believe they are truly good parents, I think the names that comes to my mind is that of Will Smith and Jaden Smith. These are the two most popular parents of the Hollywood industry and have raised some beautiful kids.

Sadly, I have never been able to meet them in real life but I have seen enough of their interviews with others and sometimes with their children, explaining how they raise their kids and the kind of values they imbibe in them. The reason I think they are great parents because they did taught their children things which I think everyone should teach their kids.

One of them is experiment. They have asked their kids to experiment with their passions and the other things that they love. In a particular interview, Jaden talks to her child and says that it is very important for you to love yourself because it is only when you love yourself that you can go about and fall in love with someone else and that is how the world falls in love with you.

In one interview, Will Smith talks of how for you to be able to create a wall it is very important for you to be able to put that one brick perfectly and that is how life is lived. I think these are some great lessons that are taught and the way they live, I believe they are truly great parents.

I believe to be a good parent requires you to be great individuals first. Because a child often learn more by what he or she sees than what he or she is told to do. Apart from that the one thing which I believe truly separates normal parents from the great parents, is the trust they have on their child and his or  her potential. It surely takes lot of love and more important trust ones own upbringing to be able to trust the child completely.

I believe it is only when a child is trusted and told that he or she is trusted that the true nature of the child evolves.

We all love our parents and believe that parents do play a very important role in everyone’s life. But the one parents, or for that matter, the one mother that I truly adore is the mother of great scientist Thomas Alva Edison. I don’t know much about her because of the reason that there is so less said about her but the one incidence that is talked about gives a lasting impression of the kind of lady she was.

It is said that once Thomas came back home with a note saying that he cannot read or write anymore and his mother read it and told that he is brilliant and can achieve whatever he thinks he can. Instead of losing faith on his child because of what the school said, her mother believed his child. She taught him and I think it was only because of her that the world had one of the greatest scientist of the century, Thomas Alva Edison.

There are parents who love their child, ones who teach their child but someone who could trust their  child even when the world went against them, it requires lot of love, perseverance and trust.

IELTS Cue Card Sample Answer # Animals

IELTS Cue Card Sample Answer # Animals

Describe your favorite animal. IELTS latest cue card

You should say-

  • what kind of animal it is?
  • describe it briefly.
  • why do you like the animal?
animal. best ielts band7 coaching in dehradunSample Answer One

I like all animals in general, but I think my favorite would be a dog. A dog is a domestic animal and can be seen in almost all houses and streets of my country. The best part about dogs is that apart from being a great keeper, they also shower love on their owners. A person owning a dog gets love and care from the dog and the dog makes sure that no one harms his or her owner.

Although, most people like dogs, everyone has different choices as there are various breeds of dogs such as pugs, a golden retriever, bulldog, and German shepherd etc. Interestingly, the characteristics of dogs depend on their breed. For instance, a bulldog is more aggressive than a pug and is more likely to bite you. Even more, the food requirements vary with breed. As a matter of fact, a smaller breed would require more energy and food than a larger or a medium-sized breed. One needs to know the breed of the dog and provide the food accordingly.

A dog surely becomes a part of the family and often it has been seen that they get weak in the absence of their owners. The connection between dogs and humans is almost electric and I believe one must surely have one.

Earth is full of different creatures and various organisms. Humans are the top of the food chain on this planet and share the planet with other living organisms. Animals form a big part of our ecosystem and help us preserve nature and restore balance in the ecosystem. There are various majestic creatures that inhabit our lands but the one that fascinates me the most are snow leopards.
Snow leopards are solitary creatures and they are found in the entire Himalayan range and central Asia. These beasts are a thing of beauty and their distinctive fur and color easily differentiate them from an African or Asian leopard. Their coat is white and grey in color and it helps them camouflage with local surroundings. Their thick coat helps them stay warm in chilling Himalayan weather. They are very shy creatures and perhaps that is the reason why very less is known about their behavior and habitat. Their diet mostly consists of antelopes and Himalayan goats that are found in abundance in the mountainous terrain.
Sadly the human-animal conflict has caught up with these beautiful animals too and today they are considered as critically endangered by the World Wild Life Federation. There are less than 5000 snow leopards out in the wild and drastic measures are being taken to conserve their numbers. There is a famous documentary recently made by the BBC and its titled Blue planet. The crew filmed for almost 4 extensive years and captured some great footage of the majestic creatures. For the first time in history, they were able to capture footage of a snow leopard making a kill. I feel sad that we as humans are not doing enough to protect these animals and are adamant upon destroying their habitat. (299 words)

I have come across a few important and valuable things lying unclaimed in different places. These range from wallets and handbags to mobile phones and cameras. Many people tend to lose such things due to their negligence. I have always followed a rule to contact the owner and the relevant authorities and inform them of the situation.

One such memorable incident was when I found a wallet lying on a bench outside an eatery near a famous shopping complex in my city. I went there to eat something for my lunch and saw it while I was making my way into the eatery. It was an expensive leather wallet and nobody came to claim it while I waited there for a few minutes. I called a wait staff from the eatery and picked up the wallet in his presence to identify the owner. The wallet belonged to a middle-aged businessman and contained a lot of money, a few credit cards, and all the basic identity cards such as the driving license and the voter identification card. I opened its flaps to retrieve a piece of paper with the owner’s contact information in it. I took it out and called on the number to apprise the person of the situation.

The owner was worried upon hearing this and came back quickly as he was still in the vicinity of the shopping complex. I gave him the wallet and he confirmed receiving it as he had left it. He was very thankful and praised me for my actions and my honesty.

IELTS Cue Card Sample Answer # Help Received

There are so many times that we help people and more often receive help. Help is the only way, people  believe, that we remain human. A person who cannot help others is of no use being called human. Let us today have a look at a cue card that talks about a help that you received.

Describe a time when someone helped you.
You should say:
  • Who helped you
  • When it was
  • Why s/he helped you
And describe how you felt about it.
Sample Answer One

There have been many a times when I received help and it is something so often that I wonder what would have happened had I not received the help. But, I clearly remember a day when I was helped and I felt really nice.

I had to go to my brother’s college for some work and I was not aware of how to reach there. So, the local transport dropped me at a place and I thought from there the college would be a mere km away. Thinking that I started walking down the road but after walking around an hour I could not find even a hint of his college. As I was exhausted and started asking people as to where the college is, there came a boy in his scooty and told me that the college is really far and there is no way I can reach there on my foot. He asked me to get into his scooty.

Initially, I was scared, because I had really no idea about the place and it was all jungle around. So, either ways I hopped onto his scooty and he did dropped me outside the college. There were times when I was worried but he later asked me if I wanted to go back along with him as well. Although, I refused that help, I was really happy and felt grateful for his help. He did knew me and just like others he could have behaved strangely but he left me to my destination and in no ways sounded someone who wanted any evil out of me.

It was a true pure help and I wished him all the best for his life.

Sample Answer Two

There are so many times that I get help but the one time I remember getting help was when I was in eighth grade. I had decided to participate in our school annual festival and was among the seven girls who were part of the dance team. We used to practice a lot and everything but I was one of the weakest. There were times when it took me days to get  the step right and then there were days when I would just even after trying so much could not get the step right.

Those were some irritating days and after some time even my team members started coming in and telling that I should rather leave the group. My initial reaction was that I wont be leaving the group. I have practiced and I will do good. Although I had said that, I felt bad and I started crying in the stairs. May be my teacher came to know about it or whatever, she called me and told me that in life it is not how much you know but how much you practice to get what you want in life.

She told me that I had done a great thing and I should move on with it. After that, she started teaching me extra lesson for the dance and I was able to actually dance well than most of the girls in the school.

I remember it till now because it was for the first time, I can recall, I stood for myself. And then people did started coming in to help me. It felt great because I felt as if I am important as well and my opinion does matter. It has helped me a great deal to do things in life the way I do them now.
