IELTS Speaking Sample Answer # Career Choice

The following questions are likely to be asked in the first part of the Speaking section and you need to answer them in one or two sentences. They revolve around your career choice.

Why did you chose a career as traveler?

I love traveling and wanted to work for myself. Being a traveler, allows me both. Earlier I worked for fox, but now, I have set up my own travel blog, allowing me to visit different people, seeing new cultures and making great friends along way. To some extent, I think it was not me who chose travelling, but rather travelling that chose me.

Will you continue with this in future?

As a hobby, surely yes. But, after travelling to so many places, I have realized that some people don’t even have basic necessities of life met. I have children working and earning when they should be studying. So, I want to open a business that provides equal education rights for children, wherein people from all sorts of backgrounds, poor,  orphan or belonging to backward class could come and get the world class education that they do deserve.

What was your favorite activity when you were a child?

I remember enjoying reading a lot as a child. I used to read my English literature books, history books and civics books many a times to just get a taste of what happens and how the world operates.

IELTS Speaking Sample Answer # Choice Of Children

Given below are some of the questions that may be asked in the part I or the part III of the speaking section.

What do you think children prefer: outdoor or indoor activities? Why?

We are living in a technology advanced era, where even a three year old child knows how to operate a mobile phone. But, I think, no matter how many video games have come, when given a choice, children prefer outdoor activities when compared to indoor. May be this is because they get to spend time with their friends and interact with them, outdoors. But, this does not mean that they don’t like indoor.Children tend to love both, they could enjoy a two hour cricket match with their gully friends, but they still will fight with you to watch an episode of their favorite cartoon.

How have kids activities changed since you were a child?

I think at the core level, they are still the same, but other wise, children have completely changed when compared to our times. I remember not asking for a phone until I got into a university, but for children now a days, it is a necessity and they just cannot live without it. Also, they have become more fashionable. It might be possible because of media or the internet that has opened up a new world for all of us, but children are now more conscious of how they look as compared to our times.

IELTS Speaking Sample Answer # Study And Fun

What is the balance of study and fun in your daily life?

Answer A) Well, most of the time I tend to give more priority to study as compared to play. But, no matter what, I do play for an hour with my friends. We have gully cricket team and it is great to play with them. Most of us study in the same school and after play we often study together, clearing each others doubts and helping in study material. Even more, every Sunday, we all go out and play football with the opponent team of our society. During game, we all are very competitive, but after it, we tend to hang out together.

Answer B) I am very poor at balancing study and fun, especially because the subjects interest me more than the playground. But, I make sure that I do spend some time playing. Therefore, on every alternative day I go to the nearby tennis court, where I play tennis with different sort of people. It helps me to concentrate better in my studies and also make some good friends along line.

Answer C) Study and play are two very important part of anyone’s life. And I make sure that I am good at both of them. In school, apart from being part of the science club, I am also involved with the basketball club and often play it. I have made serious attempts and adjusted the time table in such a way that I play for at least an hour with my friends outdoor, along with studying for three hours daily. This helps me to cope up with school and friends in a better way.
