Education is the one thing that empowers people and we are living in a time when it is not just about doctors or engineers any more. People are taking so many unconventional courses and doing great wonders. This time let us have a look at the CUE CARD SAMPLE ANSWER for the question asked in RECENT IELTS EXAM.

Describe a course that you wish to study in the future.

You should say :

  • what the course is
  • why do you want to study kit
  • where would you like to learn the course

explain what impact will it have on your future

  • You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes
  • There is one minute to think about what you are going to say
  • you can make some notes to help you.

SAMPLE ANSWER

I had always wanted to do something that I loved. However, the real trouble began when I simply did not knew my passions. So, after working for two years in a corporate I took an year out to figure out what really makes me go gaga. In the year out, there were lot of realisations. I realized that I love writing and so started a blog of mine about the travel experiences I was having. With that going on roll, there were certain things the game of blogging told me. Like, you need to be a good photographer as well if you are thinking of planning a travel blog. It just gives you so much more space.

So, I wish to study photography in near time. There have been few universities that I looked on like the University of California and the JJ school of applied arts. They offer some really nice courses and the faculties tend to be really good. Being a good photographer helps in implementing the right thing for the blog. There are times when you get the content looking at the picture. So, when you don’t know the context of the picture you cannot justify the picture.

Even more, when working on a business there is so much more involved in it. One has to learn how to meet deadlines and an intensive course in a good university, just gives  you the right context. With photography, I think I will be able to take the blog to the next level. Bringing in video content like interviews or simply the real true mundane life and writing content to say what the picture could not.

When You Forgot # Cue Card Tips

Part 2 of the speaking section consist of the cue card in which you are given a topic and you need to talk about it for 4-5 minutes. Let us have a look at a possible cue card.

Describe an occasion when you forgot to do something important. Please say
– What was it?
– When and where did it happen?
– How did you feel after that?

SAMPLE ANSWER

Well, I usually do remember things as I have got a good memory but sometimes I tend to forget even important things if my life is already disturbed. I remember an incident when I forgot a very important work. It was during the time of placements in college and we all were very nervous and preparing for it. There were placement classes going on and other things were at high priority list. It was during this time, I forgot to pay my semester fee and after three days I was called by my class coordinator that I haven’t yet paid my fees. I was so stunned because there is a fine of Rs. 500 per day for late fee and three days meant Rs. 1500 which was a huge amount for me. I thanked my teacher and immediately went to the bank to pay the fee and also the fine.
On reaching home I felt really heavy but then also realized that this is what pressure handling is all about. You need to do things and yet make sure that you are still balanced and not missing out on other important things.

A Law You Think Is Good

A LAW YOU THINK IS GOOD

SAMPLE ANSWER

Although I believe that laws are made for the benefit of the citizens, but some of the laws out do others when it comes to advantages they provide. One such law is the helmet law which requires motor bike riders and cyclist to wear helmet. Often human is quite careless, but when a law is made and they are forced to do, they surely do. Wearing helmet has helped in reducing the deaths due to accident.

There was a report that came a few years back that the people dying of accidents have increased and the numbers were surely quite threatening. But then I heard of the law that people driving two wheeler must wear helmet. Even more a certain criteria for the helmet was made. Initially I thought may be this is also like so many laws, but I would say the way this law is enforced is incredible. Police men make sure that they catch anyone who breaks the law. Even more, the number of police men standing has increased, making it quite impossible to break the law. Even more there has been lot of awareness being created about the law, which has resulted in a decline in the number of deaths because of it.

If I had to change it a bit, I would like to bring in more awareness about it among kids and teenagers, because these days children from a very small age learn how to drive and their security much be considered.

A STAGE THAT YOU LOVED

SAMPLE ANSWER

Every one passes through different types of situations in their life. It is either weal or woe, but no matter what it is, the faith to continue counts. I remember one stage in my life which was really enjoyable and full of fun for me. It was after I completed my college and was trying to figure out things for myself in terms of what should I do with my life.

This was the time, I did content writing for a company, adding content to their websites. It was complete fun because I was doing something I was very passionate about i.e. writing and was getting paid for it. Even more the blog that I had started a year back, finally started getting 500 visitors every day adding more to my income. I made new friends, met like minded people and learnt a lot about the thing I loved the most. I remember, I even got a chance of writing a script for an advertisement and go on to shooting and see how set looks like.

The entire mood of that time was great. I was in love with the work I was doing and achieving things in it and even more it taught me valuable things for my life. I learnt that once you have your heart out at something, no one can stop you from achieving what you want. It was during this time that my convictions that you must do what you love became strong. I guess this was the time that marked a new beginning for me and has helped in shaping my life, the way it is now.
