Financial education should be compulsory part of school education.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Write at least 250 words.

SAMPLE ANSWER

The world operates on money. Although, it is not the most essential aspect of life, yet its importance cannot be denied. Every one needs to make financial decisions concerning recreation, health, education etc. Providing financial education in school can surely help students in understanding money better and make more sensible decisions in later life.

Firstly, understanding money and how it operates is a virtue. Those people who have a better knowledge of the finances tend to understand the economy and the changes taking place in the financial situations better, allowing them to make better decisions. This can be important even for the young. For instance, a child who does not understands the concept of money might never be able to understand the value a particular things hold allowing them to make absurd decisions.

Secondly, often adults lack the financial capabilities especially because of weak foundations or the insecurity that comes along with the concepts of financial terms and concepts. Starting from an early age helps in building a strong background that can very likely prevent such a situation in later years of life.

However, financial studies require setting prices for products and services. This can easily turn young people into cynical human beings, lacking emotions.

Overall, financial education for young surely brings along with it great advantages that help in the later years of life. Although, some negative issues can arise but if a proper balance is provided in terms of financial education and societal education, in my opinion it will prove to be a boon for many.

IELTS Essay Sample Answer # Computers Vs Teachers

You should spend 40 minutes on this task.

With the increase in technology, computers are increasingly being used for education. Some people believe in the tryst of computers vs teachers,  soon their will be no role for teachers in the classroom.

Discuss.

Computers have brought about incredible change in the education system and the way information is retrieved. The search for information has become easier and amusing, and connectivity has expedited the data availability. Although experts have made computers more intelligent and interactive, they have yet not become a substitute of human interaction in the process of learning. In my opinion, there is a need of change in the teacher’s role but complete disappearance might not be the most pragmatic thing to do.

Acquiring knowledge through computers is undoubtedly the more fun and easier. At the younger age, the mere fact that the information that you want is just a click away instigates lot of excitement. This, accompanied by the software interactivity contributes to a better grasp of new knowledge. Even more, at higher levels, with the availability of online courses, learning has become more broader.

However, although software have come a long way and with the concepts of smart classes existing, one cannot deny the importance of human interaction in the process of learning. The expertise of a teacher in how to explain and adapt complex concepts to different individuals can hardly be mimicked by a computer, no matter how sophisticated its software is.

Overall, technology has surely come a long way and made learning lot more easier. But, a teacher helps in understanding tougher concepts and creating a motivating environment. In my opinion, what is needed is that teachers understand the technology and  bridge the gap between technology and students.

IELTS Essay Sample Answer # Globalization

IELTS Essay Sample Answer # Globalization

You should spend 40 minutes on this task.

Even though globalization affects the world economies, its down side must not be neglected.

Discuss.

Write at least 250 words.

SAMPLE ANSWER

The world has become a global village and the word globalization a common term of the 21st century. Globalization means that the world has become integrated economically, socially, politically and culturally through the advances of technology, transportation and communication. As a result, the economies of many countries have got a boom and opportunities have risen up. Although, globalization has offered great advantages, the negative impact cannot be overshadowed.

The major disadvantage of globalization is the impact it had on local markets. With the coming of international products, although the consumer is happier, but the local business men have suffered a lot. In some worst case scenarios, either the person had to close the business or work at lower prices.

The second issue has arrived in the more developed countries. With globalization, the companies in the European or American countries, tend to outsource cheaper work force from Asian countries, leading to high rates of unemployment in these countries. On the other side, the Asian people tend to work for such multi national companies because of the higher salaries as compared to the home companies. This has created a situation of brain drain.

Overall, globalization has surely opened up doors for many providing better jobs and improved economic standards, however the loops are inevitable. In my opinion, the governments and companies must take a more balanced approach in dealing with the issues raised because of globalization, to ensure a equivocal environment to live in.

IELTS Essay Sample Answer # Modern Technology

You should spend 40 minutes on this task.

Many children these days spend their time using modern technology instead of reading books. While some people think that it is a positive trend, others believe that it is a problem.

Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Write at least 250 words.

Technology has changed the way the world operates, including even the education system. Gone are the days when students read books and interacted with teachers to clear their doubts. In present times, every information is just a click away. Although some people believe that the use of modern technology deteriorates the education, others believe it is a creative method of improving it.

Technology, especially internet, has had a positive impact on people. With the world class universities, such as Harvard and Stanford providing free online courses, many people have started availing them and benefiting through them. For instance, children living in developing or poor nations who don’t have access to better  education can improve their skills using the online courses. Even more, getting an information has become lot more easier. Instead of scribbling through books, one can get the solution of a problem directly and easily.

Although technology has made our lives easier, it also comes with its own issues. The major problem being that students easily lose their focus when studying from internet. Example- a person who is reading something from internet can very easily open facebook and lose focus. Even more, although gaining information from books is time consuming but often students grasp more knowledge as compared to a solving a mere doubt.

Overall, technology has surely made understanding easier and even  opened new doors of learning. However, reading from books makes grasping knowledge more intimating. In my opinion, it is the middle way between technology and the conventional method of books that will help the students.
