Restriction On Noise # Essay For IELTS

Some people believe that individuals must be allowed to make as much noise as they want to, while others are of the opinion that the amount of noise that people make should be strictly restricted. Discuss both views and give your opinion with examples.

With the change in the way people did their jobs, there has been a considerable shift in how people live. With more and more people taking up tiring day jobs, they are left with only night and tend to party. This has caused a debate on whether there must be a regulation on noise or not. Some people believe that the city should regulate the level of noise in residential area while others say that this measure is too strict for some citizens.

With increasing stress in their work places, some people assert that they have their basic rights to generate noise freely in their places. They argue that after a long tiring day, they only get the night to relax and spend time with their family. If in this time, they do recreational activities like karaoke, or may be party, it only helps them relax. Secondly, everyone does not have the same way of living and trying to fit in a certain norm of lifestyle is too much of a burden.

On the other hand, it is certainly true that people also have the right to deserve peace and quiet when they stay in their houses. For instance, children who have their schools in the morning tend to get disturbed by the noise causing poor performance in the school. Even more, exposure to excessive levels of noise for a long time can cause detrimental effects such as sleep deprivation, depression or healing impairment.

Overall, in my opinion, every one surely has their own rights to generate noise, but we live in a society and therefore city must issue some regulations to limit noise pollution.

Problems Of Working Parents # Essay

Nowadays, many families have both parents working. Some working parents believe that other family members, like grandparents can take care of the children, while others are of the opinion that child care centres provide the best care. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

The world has changed dramatically with a complete scenario change in how the people used to live and work. In today’s era, most of the families have both working parents, leaving them little or no time to raise their offspring’s. As a result, some of them have turned to other family members and believe that grandparents can take care of their child in a great way, while others are of the opinion that it is better idea to bring kids to child care organisation.
A child brought up in care of his or her grandparents always grows up with assets that prove to helpful in longer run. Firstly, grandparents have already their own kids and have live experience of raising children, and hence will have a better idea about child care skills and will be able to look after little kids. Secondly, it creates a sense of a happy family and family oriented youths tend to grow up to have better relationships with their elders and other people in general.
Turning to the other side of argument, child care organisations have employees that are trained in babysitting skills and know how to cope with kids in various situations such as unsafe circumstances or accidents. For instance, if a child falls down and injures himself/herself they know what to do as they have learned first aid skills.
Overall, in my opinion, although child care organisation know their job, the love and compassion that a child can get from his/her grand parents can nowhere be found.

High Salary # Essay For IELTS

In many countries in the world, some people earn extremely high salaries. There are two opinions regarding it. On one hand, people believe that this is good for the country. Others believe that government must not allow salaries above certain level.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Write at least 250 words.

SAMPLE ANSWER

The economy of a country is a representation on its country men. In recent times, it has been observed that few people of the country have extremely high salary while others seem to lie in the mediocrity. There are some of the opinion that this distribution of money is good for the economy of the country, however, few others believe that government must restrict earning after a certain level. In my opinion, each individual is to its own. Restricting someone to earn more might not be the best thing, however, motivating others to earn more, will increase the economy by many folds.

We must acknowledge people earning high salaries. Firstly, not every individual works as hard as some others. Allowing them to earn high salaries will be like rewarding people who are greatly skilled and talented. Secondly, high salary is often a motivating factor for people to earn more and work harder. This in turn is beneficial to the economy of the country. Thirdly, giving high salaries deter skilled or talented people from leaving the country. For instance, a developing county if pays its highly skilled individuals high salary , chances are they will stay in the country and could help in the further development of the country.

However, there are certain down sides to paying high salary as well. Firstly, it can be disheartening for some to earn a low salary while others receive a high salary without much justification. This in turn has led to people asking that government must limit the salaries. It is believed that capping high salaries will prevent the rich from gaining unfair control over certain aspects of society. Even more, limiting high salaries will mean more funding for public services which will benefit all people in society.

Overall, in my opinion, an individual who has worked hard and has in turn made them into skilled workers, must surely be paid high salaries. However, it must be taken care that the entire focus of the government must not shift towards them.

Children how to be good members of society # IELTS Essay

IELTS Writing Task – 2

Topic

Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this.
Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

Answer (Band Level 7.5)

Children are believed to be our world’s future and this is why they should be taught to become responsible members of society. Both parents and school are supposed to shape the children into excellent human beings. They are born with some traits and others are adopted during their growing stages.

Parents are the ones who imbibe good morals and etiquettes in their children at home during their initial stages which they maintain for the rest of their lives. It is the environment provided by them that mould the children into the human beings they grow up to be and their treatment of people around them. It is at home with the parents they discuss about the world and its vices, in order to distinguish between the good and the bad. The parents lay the foundation stone of their children upon which they grow into and become good Samaritans.

On the other hand, school is where they spend more of their time in the later stages. When in school, the teachers are their sole authority and are responsible for their growth and development. Children have to follow the rules and regulations set by the school in order to lead a disciplined life, inside and outside the school vicinity. It is in school that the children learn academically and socially which makes them well rounded individuals. They learn how to cope with situations and deal with people which is important for them to subsist as good beings in the real world.

In conclusion, it can be said that for children to become a responsible and conscientious human beings, the involvement of both the parents and the school in teaching them right from wrong and good behaviour within the society is necessary. Separately, they cannot be held responsible for the children’s overall growth and development into ethically good members of our society.
