Describe a time when you performed in an event in university
You should say:

● What did you perform?
● How did you prepare for it?
and explain how you felt about performing on stage?

Answer – I’ve participated in many cultural programmes in my school and university. Today, I’m going to talk about an event I vividly remember. There was an annual event in my university, and I was so excited to perform in it. Since it was the last year of my college, I really wanted to make some memories, so I decided that I wanted to participate in a group dance.
I registered for a Marathi group dance. When the group started practicing, I made so many mistakes at first and could not keep up with the fast pace. While others seemed to pick up the choreography quickly, I struggled to match their level. It was quite challenging for me to adjust to the style, expressions, and energy it required. On top of that, the performance was around six minutes long, which felt quite intense. However, instead of giving up, I pushed myself harder. I started staying an extra hour at the university just to practice on my own, repeating every step until I felt more comfortable. Slowly but surely, I began to improve, and my confidence started to build.
After preparing for several weeks, the day finally came when I had to perform on stage. All
the members of the group looked so beautiful in Marathi attire. We clicked many pictures
together. The moment we walked onto the stage and the music started playing,, all my fear turned into excitement. I felt a sudden rush of confidence and energy. I was able to perform smoothly, and I truly enjoyed every second of it. The audience’s applause at the end was incredibly satisfying, and it made all my effort worthwhile. That experience not only helped me overcome my fear but also gave me a beautiful memory to cherish from my final year.
