SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Alice,
I am sorry I haven’t written for so long. My work keeps me so busy, that I never have a minute to myself. I am writing to ask about the various colleges in your city.

I am planning to do a course on professional photography from a college in your city. For the past two years, I have been doing content writing for several organizations. I have even worked as a freelance writer and doing it, I have realised the importance of professional photography for my career. Being an ace photographer and an experienced content writer, adds stars to palate.

Your city has some of the world’s best photography colleges. However, when I searched on internet regarding the differences between them, I could not find any specific details distinguishing them. Rather than solving any issue, the search left me more tangled up. You have been living in the city for now 6 years and I hope that you will have a better opinion about the various universities. I would be really thankful if you could just tell me the best of the universities and what separates them from each other.

I hope you would not mind doing this for me. I am looking forward to hearing from you and making some more beautiful memories together.
With love,
Anmol.

Delay In Joining # Letter For IELTS

You should spend no more than 20 minutes on this task and write at least 150 words.

You successfully passed a job interview. You are expected to start on January 15, but you will not be available on that date.
Write a letter to your new boss, explaining to your situation, expressing our concern and suggesting solution.

You do not need to write your address.
Begin your letter as follows: Dear Sir/Madam

SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing in regard of my joining date on January 15, which would be quite difficult for me to meet.

I have found myself in this unpleasant situation for a reason. A very close relative of mine has been diagnosed with cancer and I have to go and take care of him for some days, until other members of the family reach here. Although the cancer is at its initial stages, it sure needs care and support. It is one of the toughest times for me and my family and leaving him alone at this time, when he requires both physical and emotional support from people, will not be possible for me.

I understand that there are certain norms and conditions of your company which every employee must abide by and I deeply apologize for the inconvenience. I will try to join as soon as possible. Please don’t revoke my application.
Faithfully yours,
Anmol.

Increase Your Confidence

IELTS speaking section is often one of the toughest for some. Talking about random questions and sometimes even making made up answers and then speaking it in fluent English often becomes a nightmare for people who have spoken their vernacular language all their life.
Have you heard that phrase, “Confidence can sell anything”?? Well, even if you haven’t, remember this while giving your IELTS exam. Yes of course, your content matters, but it matters only when you sound correct and even more presentable.
But how can you sound more confident?
My first advice would be don’t speak in English. Relax. Don’t worry about the fact that you cannot speak in English like some of your peers, remember, everyone has their own story and all you need to do is trust in yours. So keep calm and follow the following tips.

PRACTICE OFTEN
Now, if you have got that peace and calm and the faith in yourself that you can do it, I say, go on and practice more. Practice with people you know you can talk with in the broken English. Go to places where it is compulsory to talk in English or how about joining an English club or a conversation class. Remember, you need to put yourself in uncomfortable circumstances. You need to push the envelope, and while doing it, you need to have the faith that you can do it.
RELAX
I have already told you to relax, but this time I am talking about relaxing before you speak. Think for a second or two what are you trying to tell. What is the message you are trying to bring into notice. Because sometimes, what you want to say is more important than how you say it. In the beginning, go for the things that you enjoy talking about. Remember, it always easy to talk about things you enjoy.
REHEARSE
Obviously this is not possible on the day of the examination. But then you can surely rehearse the different questions that are asked or were asked in recent exam. And the trick while rehearsing is, always ask yourself what will be the next question and how you can save it.

Remember, like every other thing, confidence comes with practice. So, stop feeling creeps from English and start loving it.

Cramming high vocabulary words or learning thousands of idioms or banging your head over those often confusing grammar rules is not going to help you in IELTS.
