Scholarship For Women

Women are the backbone of the society. Although there was time women were not treated as equals, but in today’s time, they have almost outdone most of the men around. To boost the moral of such women, there are scholarships for women. Lets get to know about one such scholarship.

What is it?
JANE M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship was established in 1998 by Jane M. Klausman. The scholarship is awarded every year to women pursuing undergraduate or master’s degrees in business management.

Are you eligible?
Women of any age pursuing a business-related program who demonstrates outstanding potential and are living in Zonta district/region are eligible. Although women living in areas with no Zonta club are also considered. Online applications are also accepted.
But if you are a classified member or employee of Zonta international foundation and the Zonta international, or their family members you are not eligible to apply.

What is the process?
The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship program operates at the club, district/region and international levels of Zonta International. You cannot apply to more than one Zonta district. Initially applicants are nominated by a local Zonta Club. The selected names are then sent to the respective Zonta governor/regional representative. One applicant per district/ region is chosen and sent to the Zonta International Headquarters. In all, 12 international recipients are selected for the scholarship from the district/region applicants.

What is the deadline?
The applications must be completed and submitted according to the deadline assigned by the club.
A club recipient is selected and the name is forwarded to the governor/regional representative by 1 July 2015. The region recipient is selected and it is sent to the Zonta International Club by 1 September 2015. International recipients are contacted by the mid October.
