Photos are the best way to capture important moments in our lives. I have garnered a collection of many interesting photographs over the course of my life. These have been clicked in different places with different people, and mean a lot to me. Today, I’ll take about a photo that is very special to me.

It is a picture of my family. I can vividly remember, it was taken in May 2008 when my family had gathered for my cousin’s marriage. I live in a nuclear family and it is very rare to have a family get together as my father’s siblings and my grandparents live in far-away cities. We all had come to Delhi, my grandfather’s place, for the wedding celebrations.

With everyone together, each celebration was a lot of fun. On the last day, a grand reception was hosted at a famous hotel. Since it was the last function, all of us were planning to leave after the ceremony. Just before leaving, my mother insisted everyone to gather around for a family photograph. It took a while to get everyone on the stage and take our positions for a photo. After taking a few trial shots, the photographer clicked a very lively photo.

It is very special to me because it is the last photograph of my complete family. A few months after the wedding, my grandfather passed away and my cousin went overseas for his higher studies. Whenever I feel sad, I look at this photo. It relaxes my mind and reminds me of the beautiful times I have had.
