ANSWER:

Films are the most important part of any country, culture, society and people as a whole. They are the mass entertainers that have fascinated humans since their inception. There are many movies that get released in the cinema, but there are only a few that leave an impact that lasts a lifetime. For me, that extraordinary film was Dhurandar The Revenge. It was released some months ago in March, and just like its predecessor, it took the world of cinema with storm. This film starred Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal as the main leads. This movie was dubbed as being inspired by true events.

It was the story of an Indian spy who went to Pakistan to gather intelligence about the terrorist attacks that might happen in India. It showed a protagonist’s desperation, love for his family, lust for revenge and patriotism. The last heartbreak of losing everything and everyone, even his own identity, just to safeguard his nation was the favourite part that made me a fan of this movie. Altogether, from banger to sad to romantic songs and scenes, this star-studded affair had everything in its arsenal.

I was dying of waiting to witness this blockbuster on any streaming platform, and when it was finally released, I was over the moon and shouted so loud that I almost lost my voice out of excitement. So, without a shadow of a doubt, I this time not only watched it again but also made my family experience this once-in-a-lifetime movie.

ANSWER:

I believe that technology has revolutionised people’s way of living. Technological gadgets such as mobile phones, smartwatches, earphones and others have become an integral part of our lives.

One particular technological device that I’d like to buy in the future is a set of wireless headphones. I actually wish to purchase this self-device in a few days, as my previous headphones broke down by accident. I prefer to get online specifically from a quick shopping app called Blinkit. It will be delivered in about ten minutes, and I can easily arrange a return if I find any defects or malfunctions.

I want to purchase headphones, as they come in handy in activities such as listening to music and removing external noise when focus is needed. Moreover, headphones do not cause any damage to ears, whereas earphones or AirPods might cause harm to eardrums, as they are quite sensitive. Another pro is that while using good-quality headphones, we do not disturb people around us, and we can listen to our favourite songs or music. So, I think that because of these reasons, headphones can be beneficial for anyone who uses them, and that’s why I want to buy them.

Overall, I am really excited to get good quality headphones and use them efficiently.

IELTS CUE CARD: THE WEATHER

Describe the weather.

Sample Answer:

Right now we are in the autumn season of fading October. The weather seems to be rather chilly, foggy, murky or grey, if you will. In particular, the clouds have been obscuring the sun for the past week or so. Although thus far it has not yet rained properly, only slight drizzles have occurred that last for a quarter-hour at the maximum. Meaning that currently, I have to wear light woollens if I don’t want to freeze or feel numb.

Speaking of which, whenever I go out for walks, I have noticed that in the mornings there is a cold stiff breeze and heavy fog. On the other hand, in the afternoons the clouds seem to give a bit of leeway, letting some feeble sunlight through to warm the frost off.

The days are overcast and dark, which can sometimes affect my mood negatively. Soon, however, it will get even colder and glummer. Personally, I don’t really look forward to winter seasons, as the weather always becomes turbulent and unpredictable. During such weather I tend to feel lazy and unproductive, wanting to remain inside and inactive.

Rather, I much prefer the fresh breeze of the spring and the warmth and welcoming atmosphere of summer. Similarly, there is no problem of humidity or unannounced rainstorms in these seasons. I always feel far more productive in the springtime; I seem to get a whole year’s worth of work done in a day! It appears my mood lifts as the sun comes and the breeze goes. Although I don’t seem to be affected much by the change in humidity levels, since I learned to adapt my skincare routine long ago.

Overall, the weather is a very important governing factor in my mood and in my life.
