Describe a time when you gave someone something special.

ANSWER:

Well, gift-giving is a universal way of expressing feelings that words sometimes fail to convey. Handcrafted gifts add charm and strengthen the beautiful bond with the receiver. There are many gifts I have received and given in my lifetime. I’d like to talk about the time when I gave a gift to my friend on her birthday.

I had decided to draw her picture on a canvas and decorate it in a unique way. I wanted to give her something special which she can cherish later and understand how much I valued our friendship. I made a painting of her which included thread beads and motifs to decorate the painting, which gave the painting a rich texture. Not only did I brush and colour the background of the painting with acrylic paints, but I also used hand stitched beads on the canvas to create a three-dimension effect. The most interesting part was when light fell on the beads; they shone, like tiny dew drops, making the painting feel alive. Although it was a time-consuming task, it was a labour of love. The simple picture turned into a masterpiece which took more than 20 days, and it was worth the hard work. When I gifted her the painting, she was flabbergasted by the way it was created. She genuinely appreciated the intricate details engraved into the canvas. I had put my heart and soul into that painting. It was reflected in her deep appreciation. She said that it was the incredibly thoughtful and meaningful gift she had ever received.

Overall, I enjoyed the process of making that special gift for my friend, as I got an opportunity to showcase my creativity. The most surprising thing was her reaction, which was truly a rewarding experience for me.
