I can spend endless hours listening to music, as it is one of my favourite hobbies. I love listening to different genres of music. There are many singers whom I admire. Many of them are from different countries, but today I would like to take this opportunity to speak about my all-time favourite singer, Mohammad Rafi.

Retro music fascinates me extensively, and he was known as the retro king in my nation. He was an Indian playback singer and musician. Rafi is considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential singers of the Indian subcontinent. Rafi was notable for his versatility. I first listened to his song on the radio and was completely taken aback by his comforting and soothing voice. After that, I gave attention to his other songs and instantly fell in love with his melodious voice. He recorded songs for over a thousand Hindi films and in many Indian languages as well as some foreign ones. I can vividly recall an incident that my grandfather shared with me about his brief encounter with Mohammed Rafi: he was an extremely humble and down-to-earth person. He shared that although the meeting was brief, the legendary singer made it a memorable day for my grandfather. My grandfather and I often relished listening to his songs and exuberantly admired his singing capability; his songs keep the ability to soften any heart.

I guess they do. Celebrities have the ability to earn more than a common individual, as they have achieved that level through constant hard work and dedication.

Q3. In your country, do people prefer to listen to traditional music or foreign music?

Well, every individual has his own genre in music, so it is hard to determine, as it may vary from person to person. However, these days people are looking up to traditional music more and paying more importance to it.

Well, I am a musicophile, so I really adore listening to some great music, and today, I would like to talk about one such famous singer whose music I really admire. His name is Arijit Singh. He is one of the greatest singing legends which India has produced.

I first came to know about him through YouTube when he made his debut in one of the Bollywood movies. The song crossed millions of views within a few minutes of upload. Ever since then, I have been following his music everywhere, be it Instagram, Facebook or any other social media platforms. He has millions of followers, and people look up to him as an ideal and inspiration.

If I talk about his personality, he is very much like an ordinary person. He dresses very simply, even though he earns millions. He is someone whom I really connect to as a person, maybe because of his down-to-earth nature. I relate to his songs, which are mostly romantic, but that does not limit his potential, and he sings all kinds of genres – soulful, jazz, rock music and many more. Even though I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, I really look up to meeting him in the future. It would be a dream come true.

Therefore, he is my favourite singer, and I enjoy his music.

Music is deeply rooted in our cultural values, and so whenever there is any occasion, be it a national event or a domestic one, people dance to the beat, and thus, singers are quite crucial to our country.

I think so, because they have a huge name not only on a national level but internationally as well. So, they do receive a lot of free goodies and enjoy handsome income on promotion of branded items.

Animals are some of the most beautiful creations of nature in the world. They differ in their natural habitat, anatomy, and lifestyles. I have had the chance to notice a few of them in the zoos and public parks.

Out of all the animals that I know about, I find the giraffe to be the most interesting animal. The giraffe is one of the most beautiful animals, and it can be easily differentiated from other animals due to its extraordinary height. Giraffes can reach up to eighteen metres in height, with the maximum due to the length of the neck. There are different types of giraffes found around the world. They are spectacular, particularly the baby giraffes.

They are beautiful to look at, and the towering shape of their throat is particularly attractive. Their coat is possibly the most striking feature, with dark brown patches with sharp edges on a light golden or brown background. Their tongues are extremely long and are also used for cleaning their ears. I have seen many giraffes in a zoo. They are vegetarians and are not at all ferocious or dangerous as other animals. Feeding acacia leaves to the smaller giraffes was an overwhelming experience for me. They also run very fast and are always alert for signs of danger in their surroundings. They usually roam around in groups and are a very intriguing sight to look at.

Shopping is a very popular hobby among girls. I personally love shopping too. I visited the mall on the weekend looking for some shoes. I fell in love with a pair of brown leather wedges and decided to buy them instantly. It bought it from Steve Maiden, and it was a worthy deal.

I bought it for my birthday. The shoes went great along with the pink dress that I had specially bought for the occasion. The dress had a similar brown leather belt, so they looked great together.

The shoes have a basic shade, so they are worthy of matching with a lot of outfits that I have. I use it over my pair of rugged denims, dresses and several jumpsuits. The shoes lift me up and build confidence in me. I personally love them. They are comfortable and steady. They keep my feet stable irrespective of the high heel and provide support to the aching back. The cloth is amazing, and the leather is of a fine source.

I was super excited to show them to my mom. She too liked them and appreciated my choice. She examined the quality and was very satisfied. I further told her that I got the last piece for a very discounted rate. She was pretty amazed hearing the price that I paid for the shoes. I look forward to shopping from the same store again. I’m really happy about my purchase.

School days have been the best days of my life, and no matter what, I believe we all have memories attached to them. They do bring nostalgic moments to us. I studied in a convent school, and there were many rules, but the one that I did not like was if someone did not have the proper dress, they would be sent out of the assembly and delayed for the first lecture. Our school had prefects, and their job was to make sure that we all were in our proper dresses. Even a hint of error and we would be thrown out. Being an average person, I never had those perfect shoes or dress, and so most of the time I would be out.

I remember once it became so frequent that people accepted it as my nature. The reason I did not like this rule was that, at some point in my life, I had an inferiority complex because of this. Children would make fun of me because of this, and we would fight. Because of missing the first lecture, I did miss out on some very important things that were taught, and it did impact my studies.

Most of the people in my school had no issues with this rule. Probably, because they always wore the right dresses and shoes. But there were few like me who used to be out because of our neatness. I remember making friends all the way during this time. We would laugh and giggle sometimes. But initially, it was quite rough for all of us, and I believe there could have been a better way of teaching us the importance of maintaining a dress code.
