Well, I think conversations serve as a great way of exchanging ideas and sharing each other’s thoughts, so I would like to take this opportunity to talk about one of the very interesting conversations that I had with one of my closest friends.

I still remember during that time I was in my college hostel and I used to share the dormitory with my bosom friend and it was a usual weekend night and we both were tired by the week long tedious classes and never ending assignments, until Riya started sharing one of the haunting encounters, she had while she was in her grandmother’s house in the village. It was at that moment when I dropped my work and shifted my attention towards her.

The conversation got intense when she started sharing the ghost stories that we all heard growing up, from our grandparents and the room’s environment became all hushed and frightening at the same time. Although, I opposed the idea of supernatural existence and said that it is just a hoax to generate fear in the listeners mind, but she felt that ghosts are real things and not something made up to entertain folks. The conversation started getting all heated up, but, at the same time, particularly interesting one as well.

The reason why I was piqued by this conversation is because, unlike other random discussions, this one was genuinely nerve racking at the moment, and something that cannot be completely denied. Also, the experiences that she shared was eye-opening and, the chills ran down my spine. Since, then I also started believing in supernatural beings.

Conversations are the mode of sharing ideas, knowledge and feelings. I have been part of numerous conversation with my friends and family. Sometimes, the conversation get too interesting and engaging that we often lose track of the time. So, today I would like to talk about one such conversation.

I had the conversation, with my childhood friend Sri jana Rana, who lives adjacent to my house. We have many similar interest. As we both are bibliophile, so most of our discussions are about books and our genre in books is fiction. So, the conversation I will be mentioning today, was about a newly launched fictional book “The Immortals of Melhua” written by Amish Tripathi.

We both were sharing our reviews about the book and were totally blown away by it. Amish Tripathi had nicely blended mythology, historical and archeological facts in this book. The way of storytelling was mind blowing. Each chapter had something new and interesting to tell the reader. My friend is a voracious reader, she got all three books of the series and finished it within a week. She mentioned, that the book made her so restless, that she had to take a day off to finish it. Besides, books we also talk about music, movies, fashion and other trendy topics. Overall, that was the interesting conversation that I had with my friend.

I reckon, every field requires smooth communication in order to achieve their goals. No matter the industry you work in, communication skills are essential for supporting your career development. Clear communication can affect your interactions with others and help you make an impact in the workplace.

Q2.When do children normally form their own views ?
I reckon, when children are enrolled in schools there they develop. Which helps them to form their own ideas. In schools, children communicate with teachers and peers, where they share their views. Subsequently, children begin to learn requisite values.

I am a hodophile and so I love to explore a lot of new places. Recently, a few weeks ago I went on a sudden unplanned trip to Varanasi which is situated in Uttar Pradesh. It is known as one of the oldest surviving cities in the civilisation of earth and has a lot to offer starting from the beautiful sunrise at Assi ghat which left me enthralled followed by the mesmerizing temples and the holy river Ganga, whereby, I sat for hours enjoying the view and indulged in some boating activity. Furthermore, the city is an architectural marvel as there still stands some of the world’s finest pieces of art on the walls of the ancient buildings like, Sarnath. After enjoying a good tour of the city, I finally got the opportunity to try out some renowned street food unique to the city itself.

I went there because one of my bosom friends, Fiza, recommended it to me as a great tourist attraction site with millions of visitors visiting it throughout the year. I really loved the place and felt that it was a wholesome experience for me as I had never been to a solo trip before. So overall this was the new place that I visited and gained a rejuvenating experience.

Q1. What measures should be taken to deal with the damage to public facilities ?
It is undoubtedly clear that public facilities are the services provided by the government as basic amenities to its citizens and businesses for their convenience. These may be in the form of public transport, infrastructure, sanitation or healthcare. But, sometimes people tend to take these for granted and so, it is high time that the government should start taking strict actions against these miscreants, by penalizing them with a heavy charge. Furthermore, it should also be made sure that sufficient checkpoints are established at every few miles, but most importantly, the regulating bodies like, traffic police and authorities should keep a check on those who try to harm public facilities.

Q2. What is the difference between the facilities in the countryside and the ones in the cities ?
There is undoubtedly a huge difference. First and foremost, the employment opportunities, which are scarcely available to the individuals who live in countryside areas as compared to those who live in the main cities. Secondly, the comfort of modern city lifestyle may not be available to the former one, while, the latter enjoys the luxuries of a comfortable life. Thirdly, the life in the countryside is peaceful, calm and tranquil because of the picturesque view and the absolutely soothing flora and fauna. However, the city life is fast-paced and thee clock is always ticking. Lastly, the cost of living which is way too cheaper in countryside areas as compared to the main cities where it sometimes get very difficult to manage the expenses.

I strongly consider myself as an ardent learner and an enthusiast who loves to acquire as many skills as I can. To survive in a cut throat competitive world like today’s, it is very important to hone, not only the pre-existing skills ,but to expand our skillset by adding on the new ones as a positive step towards growth, both career wise and on personal level. Here, I would like to talk about a skill which I excel at and feel confident enough to teach it to anyone. The skill is dancing.

Ever since my childhood days, due to my natural inclination maybe, I was strongly interested in dancing. As, I still remember a time when the music would set in and I would start grooving to its beats. I can also recall of the day, when I, for the very first time started following the renowned choreographer and artist, Saroj Khan, on her famous television dance show back then. As a student, I was highly dedicated to her, and thus, I would never miss any practice session or workshop conducted by her. She has been a guiding light for me in learning all that I know today about dance.

I staunchly reckon, that I have the required expertise in this field. Throughout my life till now, I have gathered, not only the theoretical, but sufficient practical knowledge about a myriad of dance forms like, folk, hip-hop, freestyle, classical and many more. With blood, sweat and tears, I have polished my skill well enough to be able to guide others in what I consider to be my niche and so I am confident enough to teach it to others who want to learn it, whether as a part of their hobby or professionally .

I have been dancing since forever now, and it never felt like something I had to do every day as part of my routine, but rather, it came to me very naturally. Therefore, I believe I would be able to bring the same experience to others as well who are keen to learn and upgrade themselves. It not only serves as a great hobby, but also rejuvenates one’s mind and body, preparing them better for the upcoming day. It would be one of my greatest achievement if I get an opportunity to train others and would give me immense pleasure.
Thus, this is a skill that I have learned and gained, as part of my skillset and feel confident enough to teach it to others as well.

Q1. Which type of skills are more important – academic or practical ?
I think both academic and practical skills are necessary to become successful in career especially in today’s world where competition is at its peak. In order to be on the top, it is crucial to be the best at what we do, and that is only possible if one has both theoretical knowledge and, hands on experience in their field. As both these aspects are interdependent on one another which in turn results in an accomplished career. For example, if someone wants to become a teacher, they must not only have a deep knowledge of their subject, but also the field experience in teaching students by having a pragmatic approach.

Q2. Which age is the best for learning new skills ?
According to me, age should not matter if someone has the zest and enthusiasm to learn and grow, as it is rightly said, learning has no age. But, it is indeed also a scientifically proven fact, that the early childhood and adolescent age is the best age for skill acquisition, as the brain is very sharp and life during the younger age is stress free. Thus, the mind is more receptive towards gaining new skills.

Home is the place where we all want to come back to after a long tiresome day. I do not want to live in a luxurious apartment, but rather a small house with three rooms and a small drawing area with a wide window, opening to the verdant view outside adding a little vintage touch to it. I want the walls bright coloured and a small space for the bookshelf wherein I would collect my all- time favourite novels and books.

Well, the cities today have become such a congested place to breathe, that we can hardly find a place, we can identify as home. So, I really wish my house to be surrounded by the lush green forests in the cradle of mother-nature, alongside a small river or lake, and the transcendental mountain-view followed by a clear blue sky.

Even though the house of my dreams would be very simple, I really want it to be well furnished with all the basic amenities like electricity, gas and clean drinking water. It should contain large windows from where the fresh breeze would flow in and out, while the chirping of birds would serve as a reminder for the fresh start of a new day.

I think living in my dream house would be one of the greatest feelings in the world, and with persistent hard work and dedication, I believe, I would someday be able to enjoy living in it.

Q1. Do most Indian people live in an apartment/house?
Well I think that it depends on person to person, as the older people like to live in a house rather than an apartment, whereas, youngsters nowadays are more inclined towards living in an apartment or flats. It also depends on the land availability of the region. For example, in metropolitan cities like Delhi, it is really difficult to find a piece of land with wide gardens, and so people accommodate themselves in tall apartments due to scarcity of land.

Q2. Do young people in your country like to live with their parents or by themselves?
It is a great question. I strongly believe that youth today wants to have a personal space of its own, rather than living under one roof with their parents. Moreover, since most of the young people have to shift nowadays as part of their studies or job, so they tend to live alone by themselves. Furthermore, today’s generation does not want to be dependent on anyone for managing their life, and thus, in order to feel responsible and able enough to not only gain, but also learn from their experiences, they prefer to live alone.
